Sleazy synth-pop electronica from Los Angeles. Known for their intense personas, chaotic live show, incredibly hooky and memorable tracks, and their downright dirty t-shirt designs/music videos. Patriarchy turned a lot of heads performing at major electronic/goth festivals such as Substance, Verboden, Terminus, Grauzone, Sanctum, and after touring the US, Europe and Canada relentlessly for the past few years. The band will be performing at Cruel World Festival in LA in May 2024, and they are touring Europe in April 2024. More American dates to follow.. This is the band at their heaviest and features the most pounding electronics they've produced to date thanks to collaborates from The Soft Moon, Xavier Swafford, Kris Baha, Pixel Grip, Choke Chain, Baby Magick, Odonis Odonis, Houses of Heaven, Automelodi and Street Fever. Mastered by Adam Stilson at Decade Music Studios. Artwork by Actually Huizenga & AJ English. Revolver exclusive clear vinyl color variant. Limited to 50 copies.

This year marks almost 20 years since Shawn Foree has been making music under the alias Digital Leather. Yet even with releasing numerous albums and working with some well-known artists during this time, Digital Leather has clung to obscurity. The project, which began in Arizona with Foree and his childhood friend, Ryan Rousseau (Destruction Unit), was initially just an experiment, a toying around with some dusty synthesizers, the Cold Wave aesthetic, and a subversive disregard for audio clarity. Rousseau left early on to pursue other music, but Foree never stopped, and his writing game kept growing stronger. With New Wave Gold, Foree has shown creative maturity, and has proven himself to be a master songsmith as well as a competent producer with a penchant for sound texturing and a “mid-fi” aesthetic. Recorded in Foree’s apartment in Nebraska over the last couple of years, during which time Shawn also traveled the country doing environmental work, New Wave Gold is its own genre; something uniquely wonderful. Lyrically, each song is crafted of deceivingly simple lines, but the words soon reveal their true identities: culprits to a dazzlingly moody manifesto. It’s a mid-life crisis and a global crisis smashed together and thrown onto tape. Scattered with analog synths, acoustic guitars, and a fully operational DIY approach, New Wave Gold is also reminiscent of work from groups like Sebadoh and Psychic TV. References aside, New Wave Gold is a trenchant exploration of a self, coexisting with an often bleak and doubt-inspiring outer setting. It is the battle of the subject versus the all-consuming, fiery leviathan, the object, the world.

Debut LP from post-punk grungegaze band Whippets. Current and ex-members of The Hussy, Wristwatch, Tenement, Poney, Cave Curse, ETC! Frenetic guitar massacring over the top of Bobby Hussy's unmistakable yowl. Tyler Spatz's calculated and melodic basslines move most songs into a highly unique post-punk territory that hasn't been present in any of Hussy's previous output. Hart Alan Miller's drums hold everything down with an unshakable clamour and precision. Sonically supreme! Recorded in a barn in remote Wisconsin by Bobby Hussy, mixed at his home studio Hex Empire and mastered at Mystery Room Mastering by Justin Perkins (The Replacements Box Sets) for maximum crush! For fans of Wire, A-Frames, Jay Reatard, Swell Maps, Jesus Lizard and the like!

"Long lost album! Thought to be destroyed.... revived from near death! Shazy Hade was formed out of the ashes of two Wisconsin prominent local independent bands in the 2000s, The New Recruits and Hum Machine. Singer-songwriter Eric 'Shinky' Shinker adheres to the edicts of punk, growing up on the south side of Waukesha, WI. Shinky had performed alongside Hum Machine's drummer Eric Hartz in the 90s Madison act Coolhand Band. There they formed the bond that would transition into Shazy Hade's unique brand of indie punk garage rock. Triumph Returns Again! is Shazy Hade's 3rd full length and produces infectious songwriting in the vein of Robert Pollard and 1960s garage psychedelia. Recorded around 2008, the album was lost after the band’s recording studio was bulldozed down and destroyed without the band’s knowledge. After they cleared through the remains, there was one CD version of the session, but the guys never found it until it was recently re-discovered after cleaning out some boxes from the basement. 'We knew we had a copy of the recording, but forgot where it was, and then we all moved on to other projects, so we forgot about it for a while, said drummer Eric Hartz.' After the band reconnected at Travis Nelsen's (Okkervil River / Coolhand Band) funeral they decided they should probably release the lost Shazy Hade album before they all die. After some careful editing and mastering by Justin Perkins, it became a reality. 'I did one mix of this album straight through with no edits, that was the only copy we had, all the master tapes were trashed in the studio bulldozing, said Eric Geving.' The band knew at the time it was a great album and are excited to get it out now. Shazy Hade plan to play throughout the Midwest to support the release in 2024. For fans of Guided By Voices/Robert Pollard's universe, lo-fi sonic smatterings, indie noiseworms, and otherworldly jangle manifestos." "They were irreverently comic, snotty, and probably laughing at you behind your back, they're a little bent and, well, psychedelic, But the one thing they never are is showily sophisticated or overwrought” —Tom Laskin at The Isthmus

Ten years in the making. Omaha, NE and Madison, WI based post-punk darkwave duo featuring longtime collaborators Shawn Foree of Digital Leather and Bobby Hussy of THE Hussy, Wristwatch, Whippets, etc.. TIT's debut four track EP was co-released by Volar Records and FDH Records in 2013. It achieved acclaim from Pitchfork's Shake Appeal column stating, "There are some great songs" while also observing the record's noticeable lack of guitars (which was a departure for Bobby Hussy at the time). Since then the band has been writing songs in the background while focusing on each of the duo's main projects. The debut TIT LP features alternating brooding vocals by both main cohorts, dismantled electronics and spiraling synthesizers. The album includes a guest appearance by fellow Nebraskan Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes fame singing lead vocals on the industrial rock jam "mgbf" for added emo bliss. This is the darkest Oberst has ever gone. Dreary melancholia meets dismal decadence! TIT is sure to appeal to fans of Bauhaus, Black Marble, Boyharsher and Cold Cave.

Compiles Wristwatch I & II onto one cassette tape! Fast-paced punk rock with searing guitar leads and electronic drums from Bobby Hussy (the Hussy, Whippets) & Tyler Spatz (poney, Whippets). Both Wristwatch LPs have gained acclaim from punk stalwarts Maximum Rock N Roll and Razorcake for their Spits-esque Devo meets Ramones vibe and Hussy's charismatic yowl. Henry Rollins called the group a "cool band" and has played them a handful of times on his Kcrw radio show. For fans of Jay Reatard, Mind Spiders, Radioactivity, and Bobby Hussy's prior output.

Meaner and mightier, Wristwatch returns with the followup to their oft-sold-out debut self-titled LP! Aptly titled II, the upcoming album features a more nuanced collection of songs than the first...with a heavier focus on varying the tempos, moods and songwriting. There's even a ballad! Never Fear all you punk rock aficionados/snobs!!!! II still stays true to Wristwatch's signature sound: A hyper kinetic and disfigured backbone chock full of mutated punk rock vertebrates, with searing guitar leads as the cartilage and cacophonous electronic drums as the brittle joints holding the whole thing together. A year of playing shows around the Midwest with the likes of Agent Orange, Bongzilla, MDC, Starcrawler, etc really morphed the band's DNA quite a bit. Tyler SPATZ's bass playing has truly come to the forefront over the top of Bobby HUSSY’s signature yowl and guitar mangling on tracks like the leadoff, "Rules" and punk-pop morsel "Sweet Tooth." Have a good look... it only gets gnarlier from here on out
