Taking punk a step further

Nomeansno, consisting of brothers Rob and John Wright, have made an indelible impression with their innovative approach to punk, blending genres and crossing musical boundaries. The Nomeansno story begins in Victoria, British Columbia, where the Wright brothers grew up in a diverse musical environment. Influenced by punk rock, jazz and avant-garde music, they formed Nomeansno in 1979. The name of the band itself reflects their rejection of musical norms and their determination to go their own way. Nomeansno’s discography is extensive and diverse, reflecting their ability to experiment with different styles while maintaining a distinctive sound.
