Tekvision Volume 1 was a stone cold classic, with Rolling Stone charting it at #3 in their top 20 EDM of 2017. Two years on, Cornelius 'Traxman' Ferguson returns with the second instalment, featuring 7 exceptional new Footwork productions. Traxman is a bonafide OG, with a discography dating back to the halcyon era of Ghetto House in the late 80's and early 90's. 30 years on, Traxman is a revered figure in Chicago's urban music scene, having presided over the evolution from Ghetto House to Juke and from Juke to Footwork culture. Originally released in 1989, Work Dat Mutha Fucker by Steven Poindexter is considered to be one of the most influential tracks from the early days of Ghetto House. Traxman remixes it brilliantly on this release, reworking the stripped back, minimalist drum beat of the original into an upfront Footwork pattern. This sense of continuity is equally evident on Let Me See You Naked feat. DJ Juicy, and Traxman's remix of To Da Hoooz by DJ Deeon. These productions successfully capture the sexual energy and exuberance of Ghetto House, turbo charged at 160 BPM. Elsewhere on the record, Traxman explores different moods whilst always keeping the dance floor firmly in mind. The opening track It's Lasting Bass lays an infectious vocal harmony over complex drum patterns and a fearsome bassline. Osaka opens with mellow, sultry keys before introducing a wobbling synth and diced up Orchestal samples. 4 Da Lyfe is a soulful and slightly more meditative track, with a vocal loop expressing solidarity and self-affirmation. Wildcard feat. Jana Rush, stands alone as the only track without a vocal element, instead utilising a piercing and insistent synth to create a powerful sonic intensity. Overall this is triumphant record, and a worthy successor to the original Tekvision release, proving once again that Traxman is an unrivalled exponent of MPC-driven footwork energy.

'_and We Dance' Was Originally Recorded In 2012 Around The Time Skinshape (Will Dorey) Bought His First Four Track Reel-To-Reel Tape Recorder. He Was Listening To A Lot Of 60s Psych At The Time And Wanted To Create A Track In That Style. This Was The Result. 'Clouds' Was Recorded In 2020 And Was Never Intended For Release. It's A Heavy Track With Some Fun Trumpet Parts And To Quote Dorey "A Pseudo-Funk Vibe With A Suitable Amount Of Weirdness". Both Tracks Produced And Recorded By Skinshape. Personnel - _and We Dance: All Instruments Skinshape. Personnel - Clouds: Drums - Ivan Kormanak, Trumpet - Cameron Johnson, Everything Else - Will Dorey Aka Skinshape. Skinshape Is The Moniker Of London Based William Dorey. He Played Bass In The Indie Band Palace Performing In The Us And Uk Including Glastonbury. His Last Show With The Band Was Their Sell Out Headline Show At Shepherd's Bush Empire. As Skinshape He Has Released Six Albums Including 2018's Critically Acclaimed 'Filoxiny' (Featuring The Single 'I Didn't Know'). In 2020 He Released Two Albums - The World Music Themed 'Umoja' Followed By 'Arrogance Is The Death Of Men' Which Saw Dorey Return To His 'Skinshape' Style.

Rock for Light is the second full-length album by Bad Brains, released in 1983. It was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars. We're proud to present the original mix of the album, for the first time in decades, as the band originally intended. Most fans will be more familiar with the 1991 reissue, which was remixed by Ocasek. Version used an altered track order, significantly different mixes and a speed increase of the master which results in a raising of the pitch by one-half step.

This reissue marks the fourth release in the remaster campaign, re-launching the Bad Brains Records label imprint. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.
