In 2008, P Vine compiled a collection of Dennis' master recordings under the title "Rebirth of British Reggae" and released it on vinyl for the first time. Long time followers of Dubwise Vinyl will know I'm a big fan of Ivan's music and this latest release provides the perfect showcase for the distinctive signature sound that he's been perfecting over the last few years,

A-sider "Pleased" is a dancefloor ready slice of cold wave influenced dub that combines some icy synths with a monstrous bassline to devastating effect. Treading a similar path to other musical adventurers in the synth dub realm such as Froid Dub but with added steppers pressure.

Flip it over for the more instrumental post-punk influenced delights of 'Satisfied.' This one is closer in sound to the amazing experimental live dub Ivan makes under his Wilbur's alias (remember those excellent Whiskers Of Dub records...) and captures the magic that lies between the post-punk experimentalism of On-U Sound and the dub-funk of the Upsetters.
