Record Store Day 2021 Release. Punk parodists Splondgenessabounds achieved more than most in the early 1980s, with three chart hits, including a top-ten smash and another in the top thirty. Formed above a mini-cab office in Peckham, southeast London, they scored a contract with major label Deram through a Battle of the Bands contest, debut single B-side ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ hitting number 7 on the singles chart in June 1980. An equally unlikely cover of Boer War saga ‘Two Little Boys’ hit the top thirty and initial single A-side ‘Simon Templar,’ based on the theme from The Saint, was also popular. This incredible debut album has each of these tracks and so much more, with plenty of fart songs and a closing dub of ‘Two Pints.’ This is the sound of the band at their magnificent best, a pick of the bunch for all Splondgs fans.

A three-track limited edition 45 that is the official song for the WALES National football team as they head into this summer’s EURO 2020 Tournament.

Wales kick off their campaign against Switzerland on June 12th 2021, the very same day as Record Store Day 2021 with The Alarm capturing the atmosphere and spirit of the Wales fans through the sure to be terrace anthems 'RED WALL OF CYMRU’ and ‘RED DRAGON TATTOO. These are joined by a reworking of the band’s classic Spirit Of ’76 as SPIRIT OF ’58’, which lyrically celebrates Wales only World Cup Tournament [which also happened to be the first ever such event back in 1958 when Wales made it to the quarter finals only to be knocked by Brazil and a goal scored by the soon to be legendary PELE.]

The Alarm Spirit of ’58 is sure to appeal to Alarm fans around the world and fans and supporters of the WALES team.

These recordings are unique to the EP as they are the original demonstration versions and therefore even more collectible for fans and supporters alike.

Deep Funk/Soul enthusiasts also know "The Round Robin Monopoly" band which is another project by band leader Robin Lloyd.

From the moment we announced Decade, our mammoth, eleven-CD box set of Dream Syndicate singer-songwriter Steve Wynn's solo recordings (featuring 57 unreleased tracks!), fans all over the world have come out of the woodwork asking for a vinyl release. And while eleven CDs might be a bit much to commit to wax, we've come up with the next-best thing: a double LP distillation of the best rare and unreleased tracks on the box set! Dek'd features two dozen tracks divided into four thematically-organized sides, including a side of unreleased uptempo band recordings, another side of collaborations with such folks as Chris Cacavas of Green on Red, Richard Lloyd of Television, Barbara Manning, Steve's wife Linda Pitmon, and the Fleshtones, another side of unreleased home demos, and a whole side of unreleased outtakes and demos from Wynn's classic My Midnight album. Zjaca and Zanchini present an eclectic set of music that organically blends aspects of jazz, classical, folkloric, world music and rock, with just a touch of humour along the way from the fertile imaginations of these stellar improvisors. In 1981 Walter Verdin recorded the demos for two songs of Lennon's Plastic Ono Band before he formed the group Pas De Deux, the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1983.The artwork of this 7" is inspired by the artwork of the original record sleeves. Walter Verdin is the Belgian chameleon changing constantly between different musical styles and audiovisual art. At the end of the seventies, he released 'Storingen', a Flemish reggae single with some musical friends under the name of Specimen & The Rizikoos. In 1980 he had a number one hit in Flanders with 'Er is iets', taken from the album 'Cinema'. In the same year he started to work as a video director in the studios of the Audiovisual Services at the KULeuven. At night he experimented with video and sound. For the next 20 years, the studios became the cradle for his video art and musical experiments. In 1981, before he formed the group Pas De Deux (the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1983), he recorded the demos for two songs of Lennon's Plastic Ono Band. These songs ended on the B side of their mini-LP 'Des Tailles'. On this 7" vinyl: the demo versions of 'Cold Turkey' and 'Instant Karma!'. They are recorded ping-ponging between two stereo tape recorders. All the instruments were programmed and played by Walter Verdin without the possibility of mixing or 'picking in'. Adding an instrument or a voice meant another copy from beginning to end. The roughness and the spontaneity of these recordings are remarkable, especially when you compare the tracks with the professional recordings that were made later at the famous ICP studios in Brussels with Pas De Deux, where the cheap Boss rhythm box was replaced by a Linn Drum and other instruments were added. Walter Verdin is a big fan of Lennon's music and social engagement. These demos were made only a couple of months after his passing in December 1980. The choice for the specific songs is not accidental: they are the songs with which John Lennon started a new musical adventure. Also, for Walter Verdin it was the start for a new way of music making, after a very short career as a 'Flemish singer songwriter'. The text -the message- of both songs is more topical in 2021 than it was at the beginning of the eighties, when they were recorded.

Record Store Day 2021 Release. In Static Shot the choreography is thought as a fixed frame where movements, music and images never stop. The piece, composed of an accumulation of "blocks" of bodies, images and sounds, plays with the codes of dance alternating between gestures from "pop" culture and "learned" culture. In Static Shot, there is no beginning, middle or end. Like a permanent climax, the twenty-four dancers of the Ballet de Lorraine hold this culminating point together, the energy always having to be at its zenith. Everything tells the story of the excess of bodies and their relationship to the music of Chloé and Pete Harden; how they overflow, how they move, how they survive, how they abandon themselves, how they attract, how they mingle, how they don't die..

Following their 1990s hiatus, Wire reformed in 1999, and, after setting up their own Pinkflag imprint, between 2001–2003 released five distinct Wire items: Twelve Times You (pf3; 7-inch vinyl), Read & Burn 01 (pf4; CD EP), Read & Burn 02 (pf5; CD EP), Send (pf6; CD album) and Pf456 Redux (pf456 Redux; 12-inch vinyl album. Following the two Read & Burn CD EPs, Wire released the full length album Send, combining some tracks from both Read & Burn EPs and four unreleased pieces. Since none of the tracks had previously been issued on vinyl, a creative solution was sought to include all of the tracks from Send and the two Read & Burn EPs. This was achieved by some quite brutal edits! Thus the title Pf456 Redux is both catalog number and descriptor of the process. However, none of the tracks on PF4, PF5 and PF6 were ever put out on vinyl at full length—hence Pf456 Deluxe, which includes everything from those three releases and Twelve Times You, for good measure. As in many things with Wire, form follows function. This limited edition version for Record Store Day 2021 comes with a hard -bound book containing text about these recordings and photos from the period.

In the flesh is a commentary on the role social media continues to play within people’s lives. Now more so than ever, leading to life in a post-pandemic world, the gap in behaviour between on-screen personalities & the same people In The Flesh has never been greater! “Is your lighting right, will you swipe tonight? Never in The Flesh” With angst laden vocals laid over the rhythmic urgency of the bass and drums, this is a Baby Strange song that will strike hard with the bands ever increasing fan base. Picking the song for the session, Johnny Madden remembers: After signing with ICEA, I was browsing their catalogue and just fell in love with Nicky William, his baritone voice and his style is so unique. I came across Pathetic Fuck and just knew we had to do it. It went so well in fact, that Baby Strange recorded their version in the studio, with Chris Marshall (Gerry Cinnamon), and release it to their fans as a collectors edition single for Record Store Day 2021. Fans can expect a stripped back punk purist aesthetic blended with the undoubtedly Baby Strange style that their fans have come to expect.

This seventh volume of the ‘Psyché France’ collection is a new tribute to the mavericks and lost heroes of the 1960’s and 70’s French music scene. During this year they recorded “The Rockfield Recordings” with British producer Dave Edmonds at The Rockfield Studios in Wales. Now for the first time, all their 1972 recordings for United Artists will now be released on vinyl, having previously only been available on CD “A Bucket of Brains” back in 1995. Dyson and Co's spacy and hypnotic "It's All Over" with the bedroom funk of "First Time" on the flip. Financed and released by Staple Singer's engineer Don Greer on the tiny New Outlook imprint in 1980, original copies are like gold dust. Currently an original will set you back £500+ so this is a much more cost-effective way to own this slice of infectious space-funk from Chicago's south side.
