The Alarm release the Spirit Of ’58 EP for RSD 2021.

A three-track limited edition 45 that is the official song for the WALES National football team as they head into this summer’s EURO 2020 Tournament.

Wales kick off their campaign against Switzerland on June 12th 2021, the very same day as Record Store Day 2021 with The Alarm capturing the atmosphere and spirit of the Wales fans through the sure to be terrace anthems 'RED WALL OF CYMRU’ and ‘RED DRAGON TATTOO. These are joined by a reworking of the band’s classic Spirit Of ’76 as SPIRIT OF ’58’, which lyrically celebrates Wales only World Cup Tournament [which also happened to be the first ever such event back in 1958 when Wales made it to the quarter finals only to be knocked by Brazil and a goal scored by the soon to be legendary PELE.]

The Alarm Spirit of ’58 is sure to appeal to Alarm fans around the world and fans and supporters of the WALES team.

These recordings are unique to the EP as they are the original demonstration versions and therefore even more collectible for fans and supporters alike.

Limited to 2800 copies. All Them Witches are known for their loud and lengthy live shows. 2020 found the band releasing their critically acclaimed album, Nothing As The Ideal. An album release from this band would traditionally be followed by a lengthy 18-month tour across the globe, but due to an international pandemic, the band's touring plans were brought to a halt. This did not stop All Them Witches from assembling in a studio to broadcast a live set for their fans. The set was roundly received as an amazing performance and fans immediately inquired as to whether or not this show would be available on vinyl.

New West Records is proud to present All Them Witches - LIVE ON THE INTERNET. This 16-song set will be pressed on six variations of color vinyl across three LPs, housed in an individually numbered, foil-stamped wide spine jacket with spot gloss. Color variations include turquoise, black, white, pink, metallic silver, or metallic gold mixed with sea glass. Also includes an 11" x 11" insert.

Due for release straight off the back of the hotly anticipated Baby Strange EP ‘Land of Nothing’ in March, this double A-Side 7” has been created exclusively for Record Store Day 2021 and features a brand-new Baby Strange studio release ‘In the Flesh’ alongside a cover of Icons Creating Evil Art label mate Nicky William’s ‘Pathetic Fuck’. In the flesh is a commentary on the role social media continues to play within people’s lives. Now more so than ever, leading to life in a post-pandemic world, the gap in behaviour between on-screen personalities & the same people In The Flesh has never been greater! “Is your lighting right, will you swipe tonight? Never in The Flesh” With angst laden vocals laid over the rhythmic urgency of the bass and drums, this is a Baby Strange song that will strike hard with the bands ever increasing fan base. Picking the song for the session, Johnny Madden remembers: After signing with ICEA, I was browsing their catalogue and just fell in love with Nicky William, his baritone voice and his style is so unique. I came across Pathetic Fuck and just knew we had to do it. It went so well in fact, that Baby Strange recorded their version in the studio, with Chris Marshall (Gerry Cinnamon), and release it to their fans as a collectors edition single for Record Store Day 2021. Fans can expect a stripped back punk purist aesthetic blended with the undoubtedly Baby Strange style that their fans have come to expect.

Duran Duran's Bond theme, A View To A Kill, is covered here by The Wedding Present's long-term bassist, LA-based Terry de Castro in aid of the 'Campaign Against Living Miserably' (CALM). The original version of Spangle was featured on The Wedding Present's 1994 album Watusi and has been beautifully covered by Terry on this previously unheard version.

Record Store Day 2021 release.This special-release 7" features a pair of new, previously unreleased recordings. Side A is a fuzz- dirge cover of The Eagles' late-70s yacht rock classic – heavily inspired by Lou Reed's 2013 cover of Solsbury Hill. Side B is a re-imagining of 'Body Memory', the second single off Jess's 2020 album 'Distance'. This very different version plants the song in a field of echoey guitars, gentle synths and ambient street noise – including cameos by a baby and a nail gun.

On June 16th, 2018, the adventurous UK avant-garde act Renaldo & The Loaf (first introduced to the world by The Residents through their label Ralph Records) took to the stage to perform their music live for the first time in their then thirty-eight year career! An audience of 250 lucky fans witnessed this at Replugged, a club on Lerchenfelder Strasse in Vienna, Austria.
As part of RSD Drops 2021 blocGLOBAL presents this impeccably recorded & mastered double live album for the first time on vinyl! If it’ll be another number of years before their next performance, at least fans will have this beautiful record to tide them over. On red/black splatter vinyl (Disc 1) and white/black splatter vinyl (Disc 2). Pressed at 45 RPM for superior sound.

In 1981 Walter Verdin recorded the demos for two songs of Lennon's Plastic Ono Band before he formed the group Pas De Deux, the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1983.The artwork of this 7" is inspired by the artwork of the original record sleeves. Walter Verdin is the Belgian chameleon changing constantly between different musical styles and audiovisual art. At the end of the seventies, he released 'Storingen', a Flemish reggae single with some musical friends under the name of Specimen & The Rizikoos. In 1980 he had a number one hit in Flanders with 'Er is iets', taken from the album 'Cinema'. In the same year he started to work as a video director in the studios of the Audiovisual Services at the KULeuven. At night he experimented with video and sound. For the next 20 years, the studios became the cradle for his video art and musical experiments. In 1981, before he formed the group Pas De Deux (the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 1983), he recorded the demos for two songs of Lennon's Plastic Ono Band. These songs ended on the B side of their mini-LP 'Des Tailles'. On this 7" vinyl: the demo versions of 'Cold Turkey' and 'Instant Karma!'. They are recorded ping-ponging between two stereo tape recorders. All the instruments were programmed and played by Walter Verdin without the possibility of mixing or 'picking in'. Adding an instrument or a voice meant another copy from beginning to end. The roughness and the spontaneity of these recordings are remarkable, especially when you compare the tracks with the professional recordings that were made later at the famous ICP studios in Brussels with Pas De Deux, where the cheap Boss rhythm box was replaced by a Linn Drum and other instruments were added. Walter Verdin is a big fan of Lennon's music and social engagement. These demos were made only a couple of months after his passing in December 1980. The choice for the specific songs is not accidental: they are the songs with which John Lennon started a new musical adventure. Also, for Walter Verdin it was the start for a new way of music making, after a very short career as a 'Flemish singer songwriter'. The text -the message- of both songs is more topical in 2021 than it was at the beginning of the eighties, when they were recorded.
