The Kotiomkin were born in 2012 from the idea of Enzo P. Zeder to compose soundtracks for imaginary films of which he himself is the author. The group is inspired by the great masters of Italian soundtracks of the '60s/'70s/'80s filtering everything through a wall of eclecticism, distortion, low frequencies and vibrations.
Buffalmacco and Fra' Tazio wake up in Hell, in the Circle of the Lustful. In this bad beginning, the two cronies begin to tell each other their latest vicissitudes, in order to remember what brought them to eat those strangely bitter apricots...
The fate of a nun seems to join the two damned souls. She hanged herself for shame in the cloister of the convent. But the woman's father does not accept his loss and, overcome by sorrow, evokes an infernal Fiend and puts his trust in Him. Among ancient rites, lustful violences, unholy events and dreadful misfortunes takes place this dark Renaissance story where Desperate Revenge feasts with Iglorious Death!
For the composition of their third work "Lo Albicocco Al Curaro - Decameron 666" (Subsound Records, 2018) there was a change of line up and the guitar was replaced by a massive use of vintage analogic synthesizers giving life to an album that crosses, transversally, different musical genres with an ever more relevant cinematographic imprint.

The Land of the Snow is a project and a state of mind of Joel Gilardini (baritone guitars, electronics, and drums programming), backed up on drums by Jacopo Pierazzuoli (Obake, Morkobot, and Deneb). Tlots is devoted to massive, metal-oriented soundscapes: a constantly evolving sludgy mix of doom and post metal (often seasoned with noise and dub elements), which often takes its inspiration from alpine landscapes and Tibetan traditions. The new album “As Within, So Without” (2023, Subsound Records) is about what's inside us, how we interact with the outside, and vice versa. Everything we do and experience through our thoughts, our skin, and our actions, constantly influence our inner selves and our surroundings. It’s a constant exchange and confrontation that drives our lives and pushes us to widen our horizons with each step we take. "As Within, So Without" was conceived together with Jacopo Pierazzuoli (drums), Eraldo Bernocchi (mix and additional guitars), and Petulia Mattioli (artwork). Joel is an experimental guitarist and sound designer, based in Zurich (Switzerland). Beside Tlots, he is also known for his ambient-drone works (released on labels like ZeroK, Unexplained Sounds Group and Endtitles) and is a member of the noise-industrial combos Mulo Muto (with Attila Folklor, CH) and Psychic Drones (with Kazuyuki Kishino, JP).

“Songs of stone” is a musical project based on several epigrams, elegies and laments that Gabriele Tinti composed inspired by epigraphs from the ancient world. It arises from the wish to sustain the necessary link that joins us to the rituals of the past. The inscriptioN on durable material was one of the languages the ancients used to oppose the transience of oral expression, wishing to conserve their words in time. Tinti gathers these ideas to create verses he entrusts to the actor’s interpretation, thus combining the impression of the spoken word and the visual participation of the words in stone. The readings are made by Malcolm McDowell, star of numerous cult films including A Clockwork Orange, If... and Caligula. Tinti’s words and the actor’s vocal performance are put together by Massimo Pupillo in a work intended to transgress the confines between reality and ancient mythology. Massimo has created an imaginary landscape, creating a visionary theatre for Gabriele Tinti 's words, a sound world born and based on the precise and eloquent vocal timbre of Malcolm McDowell. Using a plethora of different sources, various synthesis, samples of eastern european choirs, processing Mc Dowell voice, Songs of Stone will bring the listener in a twilight zone between dreams and mythology, where remote past and future horizons meet

Surely our most instinctive effort so far. We went back to our roots of live recording, this time instead of a stage we chose an old mansion from late '1700 outside Rome. The atmosphere there was so charming and stimulating that 13 minutes of a 45 min long improvisation ended up in the album. We wanted the dynamics and moods of the parts to be the most important thing, taking more time than our usual developing the "story" of the songs.

The group was formed by Amadeus Galiano (electric guitars), Emilia Moncayo (voice/sampling) and Filippo Brandrimarte (drums) in Bologna, Italy, in 2012 maintaining this lineup until the return to Ecuador. In December 2016, the band was joined by Carlos Sánchez, the actual drummer of the band, in 2017. It is an experimental metal project influenced by math, breakcore and Latin music that mixes polyrhythmic structures with minimalist guitar riffs. Emilia and Amadeus initially created the band with the idea of making a thrash metal band, however, it evolved into a somewhat different style. Complicated grooves as well as aggressive and suddenly demented vocal lines resulted in an exposition of Latin American rhythms in their most brutal form. The pro-ject is essentially a mixture between thrash, djent and experimental metal. In 2017 the band signed with the record label Subsound Records and released their first album Imago.

"Lili Refrain’s newest LP Mana lives up to its title. A combination of Anna Von Hausswolff and Burning World-era Swans" , following the words of Walter Hoeijmakers, the founder of Roadburn Festival. Each track is multifaceted and they all have a heft to them, a weight that translates well to Refrain’s multi-instrumentalist abilities. Commenting on the nature of recording process Lili states: “Mana is an album totally different from anything I've ever done before. I felt the need to experiment with the use of new instruments and take a totally new path. Compared to my previous album Mana is the most ritual in some ways”. Refrain comments on the origin of the title saying: “It means ‘life force’, power that comes from within and is dedicated to those who have found themselves consciously facing a journey, without knowing where it would have arrived or even if it would have survived.” Using very few guitars, Lili Refrain has not only distanced herself from her comfort zone but also created a danceable feel focusing on arrangements and vocal techniques. However, the work on background sounds was very deliberate , as Lili notices: “Stefano Morabito, the engineer and the owner of "16th Cellar Studio" in Rome welcomed me in his studio and had been following me throughout the production.” “Spontaneous” is probably the best description of creating the record that became Mana. “I felt the need to experiment.” – says Lili about the current evolutions and changes in her “inner gaze”. Starting with Ichor , Sangoma and Mami Wata, Lili Refrain has been going down the path of rediscovering herself as an artist and performer. Combining both heavy synths sounds and operatic heights. Pairing Taiko drum sounds of Mami Wata with her trilling and whispering, Lili Refrain manages to create a chanting and ritualistic experience. Lili Refrain will be performing Mana in its entirety on April, 21st at Roadburn festival followed by an extensive European tour that would include performances at Hellfest (fr), Rock in Burlon (fr), AMFest (sp) and Dunk! Using doom — a slow, foreboding style of heavy metal — as a template, Swami Lateplate crafts a set of songs that creeps along powerfully. The themes are simple, generally carried by subdued bass lines and ornamented by the piano like salt on a glacier. What jumps out most is Previte's drumming. Every cymbal vibration and snare snap leaps to the foreground and, with rare exception, decays before the next strike, as much a testament to Previte's assured playing as Saft's engineering. The sound throughout is bright and super present. Each moment is its own event, each note frozen in amber. Regardless of the rock modeling, the disc is likely to satisfy Saft and Previte's audiences; it could appeal to fans of the fringes of metal as well. Originally released in 2021, 'Doom Jazz' is being re-issued by Subsound Records in ultra LTD edition double galaxy LP, LTD edition double white LP, double black LP, CD digipack. It was entirely produced by Bobby Previte and Jamie Saft, recorded and mixed by Jamie Saft at Frank Booth, Brooklyn, NY and mastered by Scott Hull at Scott Hull Mastering, NY. Now available on color vinyl ! In the spring of 2017, Hayvanlar Alemi closed themselves in a studio in a small Italian town for a few days and recorded material for multiple future releases. Psychedelia in Times of Turbulence includes the heavier compositions that came out of these sessions, and marks a further stage in the band's 20 year history with a more layered production and an emphasis on slower, progressive compositions that carry elements from drone metal, stoner rock and psychedelic doom, while subtly preserving the overtones of the band's brand of globally-informed folkloric psych rock. This album presents the side of Hayvanlar Alemi which tends towards the darker without losing the colors, and tends towards the sombre without losing the vitality, with songs that surrender to gravity but refuse to touch the ground.

An-nûr, "light" in arabic language, is The Black Flamingo's first LP. Six tracks that go across obsessive rithms, lysergic journey and stoner blows. An-nûr is also the title of the single, a long trip of black holes and solidarity with Palestinian people. The LP has been recorded in Rome, i the "cinque quarti" studio, under the patient supervision of Lorenzo.

BIO The Black Flamingo is a stoner-psych instrumental trio, which vibes among space and desert, with a rotten attitude. The band is formed in Rome, literally in the spaces of 30 Formiche club, by Erio Destratis (guru and housekeeper), Tiziano Giammichele (Camion, Cielo Drive) and Mattia Lolli (the Whirlings). Erio soon leaves for a nomad life and his bass is taken by Matteo Nuccetelli (Mad Roller).

"The Cortina Protocol" is the sound of these images. Recorded in three days to tape at The Cowshed Studios in North London in early 2021 the album wiretaps the colder veins of 60s and 70s crime soundtracks, weaving tense cinematic atmospheres, hypnotic kraut-isms, and swirling psychedelic funk.
