Wanderwelle is the Amsterdam-based ambient duo of Phil van Dulm & Alexander Bartels, who mint their Maalstrom label with Wat Gebeurde Er Met Sergeant Massuro?, a concept album based around Harry Mulisch's 1957 story of the same name (What Happened To Seagent Massuro?). The story weaves anti-colonial concepts with mythical realist elements, and is sonically brought to life here through atmospheric electronics and prepared instruments. A moody, resonant and ultimately deep groundswell of an album, one that compels the listener to venture ever further into the a spine-tingling heart of darkness.

Fata Morgana's concept draws from Ispirian ́s live sets in the USA. Then, back in Europe, Vasco refined his performance and the live takes were finally mixed and mastered in Madrid. The project sees the light in 2023, after the global impasse the world went through, as a two EP installment: Fata Morgana I & II.

Fata Morgana ́s second installment is a 4 track EP that kicks off with a bass- driven cinematic promise (Ohdee) which unfolds in titillating layers, crafting a superb lushness and building up momentum (Flashing on Flushing) and then, fiery reaching climax in a vague, abstract electronic background (Escape into the Sunset) only to usher the shape-shifter (My Pleasure), an edgy alt-ambient closer with a grounding dialogue on pleasure and pain which is Ispirian ́s reflective statement.

Party Tricks is back with the 2nd chapter of their reissue series. Four tracks carefully selected from different sought after releases from the 90's and early 2000's. ‘Tricks that never fail to amuse at parties’. Vinyl Only.

The Night Institute, the legendary cult club night at the forefront of Belfast's thriving electronic music scene, announces eponymous new record label. Spearheaded by scene stalwarts Timmy Stewart of Black Bones fame and Jordan Nocturne...

The inaugural release boasts a stellar lineup. Alongside Night Institute residents Timmy Stewart (Ft. Northern Irish vocalist Megan Sylvan) and Jordan Nocturne, the record showcases guest appearances by Justin Cudmore, resident of New York's renowned The Bunker and regular contributor to Phonica Records, and Hifi Sean, who has been making waves with his collaborative project alongside David McAlmond while working with icons like Ce Ce Peniston and Yoko Ono.

The label aims to capture the essence of Belfast's underground electronic music scene, while joining the dots with global collaborators across four tracks of acid, odd-ball house and dance floor electronics.

Serious Beats Classics continues its successful streak and shows no signs of slowing down. We now present a sampler entirely dedicated to the greatest techno hits "Made in Belgium".

This incredible sampler features no less than 4 masterpieces of techno, from the genre's finest producers.

Let's start with the quintessential classic: "I LOVE TECHNO" by Sharpside, the anthem of the event with the same name that has since become legendary. Next, we have the timeless classic "Turbulence" by Frank Biazzi (originally released on Lupp at the time). To end on a high note, there's a double contribution from Max Walder with his tracks "Crown" and "Samba Del Costa", both heavily supported by Tiesto and Carl Cox at the time.

This sampler will undoubtedly delight techno and club music enthusiasts alike. It's worth noting that, as is our tradition, Serious Beats Classic offers tracks here that have never been reissued and have been specially remastered for the occasion, making this sampler a must-have!

DSSC001 [VA] is made of 5 tracks across the wide electronic music scene, involving the listener in a trippy safari through the mind, with quirky musical accents. As humans have an infinity of nuances, vibrations and perceptions, eclectism is the main point of this first opus. A spicy cocktail between retro vibes, nostalgic synths, sweet trancey touches and wild electro-house.



With no boundaries, D.ssoci8 has his heart set on feeding the prism of freedom, which fluctuates in the direction of the creative genius. It’s all about the third eye, diving into an ocean of levels of consciousness and identity processes, inviting everyone to connect with the true Self, the others and the universe.

Ses1 set out what quality electro means for Shipwrec. The first in the series brought together six musicians from far and wide, musicians who journey through the colder edge of their analogue instruments with a clear ear for the floor. Ses2 starts where its predecessor left off. The genre bending Ian Martin opens with the frigid funk of "Metaphysical Travellers." Stripped back, the track is bare in terms of its elements. Despite such meagre ingredients, Martin concocts an engaging and rich work of darkened grooves and sinister undercurrents. o-0._.0-o is the playful pseudonym of acid freetekno enthusiast Owen. His contribution, "Acidrobotik", releases a free and wandering 303 lines that forges a bubbling path through crisp percussion. The flip brings an artist better known for his work in techno. Cliche Morph delves into the clinical side of his palette and emerges with the stunning "Placebo." Balancing alienated and arctic blasts with a thawing warmth, the outcome is pure classic electro. A rising star of machine music follows, Fleck E.S.C. A dirty bassline is further sullied by layers of gritty distortion and glitched vocals in this re-wired work of ghetto. A legend of electronics closes, Kirill Junolainen. Under his lauded Konerytmi moniker, this synthesiser shapeshifter delivers "Kuva Alkio." Stuttering bass and tight drums are the foundation from which sci-fi inspirations take hold, sailing strings tethered by a terse snare as Ses2 is brought to a triumphal close.

Pitch Dark is a new VA series brought to you by Berlins Pure Hate Trax. For this the 1st in the series they invite 3 new Artists to the label but by no means new to the scene in Codex Empire, Maedon & 7circle. Also making a welcome return after his debut on Vhxx1 is Strisc. Codex Empire – Since 2014, British born, Vienna based Codex Empire has built an international reputation for dark and intense techno productions and live shows. Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record. Codex Empire has performed over 100 live shows across Europe, Japan, Korea and Canada, as well as numerous appearances in Berlin at Berghain, Tresor, Arena Club, Suicide Circus and BoilerRoom. Maedon – A native of notoriously grimy Baltimore who spent some seasons in filthy Philadelphia learning the craft, her arrival in New York City circa 2018 signalled a shift in development, one confirmed by the emergence of her Maedon moniker and her partnership with Brooklyn/Berlin techno powerhouse Sonic Groove and its head Adam X. Fast forward three years to Berlin, two albums, a residency at Tresor and an entire world later, Maedon forges ahead to the next phase of a rapidly building career. Assuring her future as the world falls apart, Maedon’s bracing sound and undeniable skills are a story now unfolding, with its beginnings already written in grit. 7circle – At the helm of Destroy to Rebuild, 7circle is a musical project without boundaries. Drawing from post punk and metal roots, 7circle navigates across all genres including Techno and Industrial without compromise or frills. The journey through the discography of 7circle is a fascinating path filled with darkness and aggressive sounds which are sometimes embellished with a melancholy touch to satisfy lovers of strong emotions. After a long pandemic-induced hibernation, Muzi cartel returns with another vinyl only VA, this time highlighting the healthy relations between French and Belgian producers. The French mastermind Varhat kicks right in and sets the mood with “A1 - Doggo”, a versatile track suitable for all occasions. No compromises here. Moving to “A2 - Fieu” by Aldo, the brotherhood between Lowris & Adema, reinforcing the A side with a powerful acid bassline and trippy vocal chops. B stands for Boost, as we gladly welcome Nathan Boost for his long awaited Muzi debut. With “B1 - Aerozine”, he seamlessly teleports us to higher spheres, right into his realm. The B-side is completed by another Muzi debut, this time from within the cartel itself, as Töni & Roland present you their first studio collab with “B2 - The Strong Silent Type”. Atmospheric sounds and stabs all around, wrapping things up nicely.

Wooka from France, known for his live performance, minimalistic and sonorous symphonies in this included track, has combined his skills alongside Nick Beringer from Berlin, a renowned producer and label owner of Rubisco. Together with Submod from Leipzig, known for their rich basses and striking tracks and label owners of Vaertism, they have created this diamond of a Track in collaboration with Shuray & Walle that redefines the boundaries of electronic music. Akyra & Juzz, local artists from Zurich, contribute their spherical rhythms and driving beats to create the perfect synergy between different styles and influences. This VA is a must-have for all lovers of innovative electronic music and shows how the collaboration of talented artists all around the globe can lead to something extraordinary.

The symbol on side A is a more than 3000y old Chinese letter signifying "dance", probably a shamanic dance for the gods or a rain dance. The illustrations on side B are both from France, the menhir is the "Dame de Saint Sernin" and the bison "de la Madeleine". Danza Nativa has is rightly celebrating its fifth anniversary recently and now follows up the first part of its anniversary compilation with part two, featuring tunes from across a broad spectrum. The first side delves into tribal rhythms and strident synths with Amandra keeping it stripped back and minimal and Dino Sabatini going deep and dubby on 'Danza Tribale'. Polygonia and Plants Army Revolver then set your mind free to wander among lush sound designs and captivating rhythms that head deep into a humid and futurist jungle.

Geophone presents a very special various artists EP. The A side is a hypnotic monster by Voices From The Lake called "Reptilicus", a science fictional techno masterpiece. On the B side, Shifted delivers a powerful remix of the Mike Parker track "Mnajdra", a floor destroying heavy hitter. The EP closes wth a unique and moody contribution by Stanislav Tolkachev titled "Heartbeat" which demonstrates the versatility and emotional depth of this talented artist.

Analog Concept welcomes "unwonted" a fresh Electro project from Sweden. Behind the moniker stands two established Techno veterans, Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell. When they work under the group name Unwonted their sole focus is on melancholic, warm, vocal-based Electro, with inspiration taken from classic Detroit Techno, Electro & Hip Hop. "A Moment Like This" is based on the concept of walking through a desolate broken city in a dystopian retro-romantic future, reflecting on distant memories and the present.

An essential and prolific figure in Australia's electronic music community, producer Reptant officially presents his new tech-house inspired alias Ulo. S for Anima13. What started as a one-off live experiment for Melbourne's Techworld party series, Ulo now reveals Uphoria - an EP of serious groove and a pure timeless quality. The Passion has always been a track that resonated deep within me, a true gem by the infamous 90s duo GTO, also known as Technohead. Capturing the light still shining from his beloved ‘Lighthouse’, finally released earlier in 2024 via Dekmantel and escalated into notoriety thanks to support from trusted selectors such as Ben UFO, Francesco Del Garda and our own Palms Trax, title track ‘Rain’ retains a similar, blindingly authentic nineties reverence, finding ecstasy in a wash of cascading synths, powerful plunges of sub-bass and layer upon layer of elasticated everything.

The Scottish producer’s positive education in the foundations of club music with real personality makes itself known without indulgence; a belief in the subtle tweaks and imagination of classic tech-house, alongside a welcome flirtation with the over-the-top elements that create something potentially anthemic. In this regard, ‘Benirras’ proves to be pure pleasure for dancers who love to be toyed with, its stripped back opening giving way to slowly-escalating, wobbly-jawed hysteria.

On the flip, ‘Grazie’ proves as cordial as its title, a warm and refined slice of sleek house minimalism, a roller with Alfa Romeo sensibilities. Things take a more aquatic turn on ‘Lowkey’, a logically headsy conclusion that sees Kottis sensually bounce the word ‘electro’ around in that very style, its slower tempo and wider space allowing the impressive intricacies of his productions to float up for fresh air.
