Much loved, relentless rocker, Jake Robertson is back yet again with the next instalment of his ridiculously productive solo project, Alien Nosejob. Jake’s got a brand-new bag of tricks and I ain’t gonna beat around the bush; it sounds like Ac/dc! Stained Glass may be his finest and most stylistically suited work to date. Ironically, and to quote his own sarcastic lyrics from the album’s second track, he definitely fits this shoe. Not only does Jake have the high-pitched pipes while many others don’t (obviously a vital part in this sound), but the guitar chops to pull off the sweet, sustained lead breaks of this particular style. And he does so in great fashion as you’ll be made immediately aware from the scorching solo on album opener, “Beatles vs, Stones”. Trust Jake to write a song with that title! But alas! it’s not all Bon Scott’s and Angus Young’s. Some Rikk Agnew guitar lines shine through on album closer, "Mouldy Dough". "Shuffle Boogie" marks Jake’s first ever stab at the shuffle backbeat - which he says is him knicking from Rose Tattoo what they knicked from Ac/dc - but it also kinda sounds like a sped up Jean Genie or some lost Bowie boog. "rnr Rubbish Bin" stomps its way through five minutes of electrified solo’s and witty lyrics. Even Brian Johnston makes an appearance on the Ausmuteants sequel, “Coastal Living 2”; about growing up on the NSW Central Coast. The bulk (backing tracks) of Stained Glass were recorded by Mix Master Mikey (Young), over a Friday / Saturday in October last year - but by the sounds of it they spent just as much time eating Guzmen y Gomez, talking shit and hanging out as they did recording. Jake took the beds for the eight tracks home, tucked their sheets in tightly and the record was complete before years end. Some may think it’s a touch too much, some might shoot him down in flames, but I say this rock ’n’ roll singer’s got rhythm.

I never thought I would see the day when Total Punk would release a 2xLP, but you'll do crazy things for love. Heavy Metal's 2019 magnus opus up until this point has only been released as a cassette but that is all about to change. 60+ minutes of Heavy Metal spread over four sides and housed in a gatefold jacket. This is by far Total Punk's most lavish project but as worshippers at the alter of all things Heavy Metal we are more than happy to fork over the dough.

The sound of the future is here! Robert Craig is back on the scene. More agile, wits sharpened, and glasses more expensive. Genius turned urban guerrilla! The band is new and so is the name. Total Punk is proud to bring you, NEW Buck Biloxi, the latest outing from the man who knows everything. The perfect soundtrack for high kicking cops, leg sweeping meter maids, or blowing up government officials.

Curleys are not a hardcore band and they’ve asked that you stop sending them fan mail telling them which obscure early '80s hardcore band they remind you of. They are not impressed by your knowledge, have no idea who or what you are talking about, and find both you and your opinion just about as boring as most live bands they see. Curleys are Curley and play Curley songs about Curley things and this is their debut LP. 11 songs clocking in at just over 14 minutes about their dogs, liking what the like, chugging roaches and more. Razor sharp, lightning fast, and 100% Total Punk!!!

German punk provocateurs Heavy Metal are back with a brand new LP and first for Total Punk. Over the last four years Heavy Metal has put out four absolutely essential albums and we are proud as pudding to have them back on the Total Punk train. Heavy Metal isn't a heavy metal band, Live at the Gas Station isn't a live album (they refuse to even play live), and opener “Motorhead” has nothing to do with Lemmy or his mole. Such is the audacious and absurd world of Heavy Metal. Leading off with the reverb blanketed Jamc vibing “Motorhead.” For a band that embraces putting their filthy lint covered stamp on any and all musical genres the soft dreamy touches of the album opener leaves us asking "Has Heavy Metal cut it's hair?" Before you have time to answer, the boys fill the tank, drop the clutch, and kick into the Hubblin Bubblin “Motorbike” and rarely let up for the remainder of the LP. Occasionally wandering into the weird and warbled on tracks like “No Air,” “I Am Something,” and the hypnotic lurch of “Centipede Venom.” However V:Live at the Gas Station Fighting the Devil spends most of its time daring us to herk, jerk, spazz out, and let loose. Party music for party mutants.

Smirk is a solo project from Nic Vicario (Crisis Man, Public Eye). Following the release of ‘lp’ on Feel It (us) and Drunken Sailor (eu/uk) earlier this year, Smirk is back with a brand new 12” EP on Total Punk. While ‘lp’ compiled Smirk’s two limited run cassettes, ‘ep’ is seven fresh tracks of wiry well-crafted punk with heaps of hooks. Sharp guitars and anxious one note leads adding tension to the locked in propulsive groove of the bass and drums. Nic Vicario, doing his best ‘man on wire’ routine, exudes cool confidence while poking at the anxieties of modern life. Strutting his way to the apocalypse one jittery jam at a time, ‘ep’ is agitated, catchy, and bouncy as hell. 100% Total Punk.

Total Punk is keeping things in Atlanta for a little longer. Following up GG KING's- Remain Intact with the new album from Predator—Spiral Unfolds. The two bands share members including Ryan Bell who masterfully recorded both albums. Atlanta has one of the best punk scenes going and Predator are its longest running practitioners. Despite the seven years since Predator's last full length Complete Earth and vocalist Brannon Greene splitting time between Predator and his other projects Hospice and NAG (both of which just dropped new albums) Spiral Unfolds shows the band at its strongest. The lead work is minimal but razor sharp and extremely effective. Brannon talk/sings the vocals but the hooks are so large that the understated approach lends them more assurance. Predator are kings of efficiency. Stating as much with what is there as what isn't.

"To call Remain Intact the work of an auteur might not be the proper usage of the term, but I can think of nothing else to call a piece of art expressing a singular vision with such perfection. GG King is a band first and foremost, but this LP is Greg King’s mind cracked open like a melon for all of us to peer into, from the music, to the lyrics, to the carefully constructed artwork. He’s assembled a crack unit of ATL’s finest players to help him articulate this vision, and under the peerless guidance of Ryan (dinosaur) Bell they have created a record that will appeal to any rocker with a soul, heart and/or mind. Heshers, punkers, hardcores, powerpoppers, garage turkeys, everyone is welcome and should find something to love here. 13 tracks clocking in at around some of the most rewarding 40 minutes of music you’re going to listen to this year, with a companion cassette filled with bonus material that most bands would be releasing as their masterpiece LP.

This Halloween Total Punk will be releasing the third LP by misanthropic shed dwellers True Sons OF Thunder. Featuring members of Manateees, Oblivians, Mangina, Rat Traps...TSOT has turned not caring into an art form and even unknowingly submitted a track from their second LP for inclusion on this one. Sour tunes for sour times by sour dudes. Lurching low end, two guitars and a banjitar that make a cacaphanous symphony which can only be described as amp torture. Southern brutality at its finest. Dad rock for deadbeats! This was the record Total Punk was made to put out and it only took us 8 years to get here. Loud, broken, out of tune, and 100% Total Punk!!!! Limited TO 400 Copies.

New York's Brandy (Ex-PAMPERS, Running) are back with their sophomore LP and first on Total Punk. The Gift of Repetition is an eight track study in just that. Loud plodding and rhythmic. It will have you bobbing your head till it breaks off your neck. They all share vocal duties often chanting over each other and the lyrics are singular in vision. Bleak with a grin. Synth is added on a few tracks with mind-melting results. When the only other bands that come to mind are A-Frames, Lamps and Mayyors you are obviously doing something right. Pulsing, throbbing, and 100% Total Punk!!! Limited to 350 copies.

"We're winding things down over here at the Total Punk stamp factory. Only two more singles to go and then its big slabs from there on out. I'm beyond happy that THE ARCHAEAS are in this final class. Hailing from Louisville, KY The Archaeas have quitely been amassing their legion of followers with an absolutely jaw dropping live show. I've put out a lot of singles in these last eight years, and this is one that will sit at the front of the pack. Recorded by fellow Total Punk GINO BAMBINO, these two songs come just about as close as you can to capturing them live. Raw, loud, and filled with hooks. The Archaeas write the kind of songs you only have to hear once before you know them. This is their first vinyl release but I have no doubt we'll be hearing from them for a long time. The other two songs they recorded with these two are just as good and if I weren't getting out of the singles game I'd be begging to put them out as well. Hopefully I can convince them to make the transition over the big records with me. Lean, mean, and 100% TOTAL PUNK."

Over the course of the last 8 years, Orlando’s Golden Pelicans have made a compelling case for themselves as one of the planet’s most relentlessly malevolent ensembles, both live and on record. Thankfully, however, this is not an episode of “Hot Bench” and rather than finger-pointing and tearful recriminations, I’ll offer as evidence their succession of titles for the Total Punk and Goner labels with which the quartet of vocalist Erik Grincewicz, guitarist SCOTT BARNES, bassist Sammy Meneses and drummer Rich Evans have made reached American punk’s apex in the 2 thousand teens more than once (like goalposts, the thing moves around a bit). On the band’s 2019 entry, Grinding For Gruel, recorded by RYAN BELL of GG King / Predator, Grinewicz’ fatalism and Barnes’ not-nearly-heralded-enough virtuosity are captured with the sort of chromatic sheen that would’ve at one time been considered unthinkable (well, before electricity was invented, anyway). Is this the finest, most fully-realized Golden Pelicans release to date?

Brandy are New York's newest hitmakers featuring members of Pampers and Running and released a killer 12" on Monofonus Press last year. This is their second release and it's just as much a brain bludgeon as their first. Following in the knuckle dragging, pavement scraping, blood trails as such acts as Lamps and Mayyors, Brandy lays down a scuzz heavy sonic pummeling over this two track single. Loud, brutal, and 100% Total Punk!

There's Aliens In Our Midst! Transmitting from the same warbley orbit as fellow Californians Twinkeyz, as well as outliers Roxy Music, and Gary Numan's Tubeway Army, Andy Human And The Reptoids are back with their first full length in almost four years. In the time between they've teased us with a bunch of killer singles. A succession of short blast preparing the world for their eventual invasion. Here we are in the 2019 and the mothership is descending. Psychic Sidekick is a 10-track transmission of intent. Space is the place and The Reptoids are here to carry us away. 100% Total Punk!

Following a split 7" with Tropical Trash, Brutal Birthday is back with their first solo outing. Worse than turning 21 on 9/11 or sharing a birthday with Jesus, Italy's BB give is three tracks sewer scraping nastiness that put your worst birthday memories to shame. Patsy is back with the follow up to their debut single on Total Punk and I think this one is even better than the last. No nods to the odd, or mutant grunts just a full frontal assault. Two of the most solid hook filled punk tunes I’ve heard in some time propelled ahead by barreling drums, incredible guitar and bass interplay and Candice's snot filled vocal attack. Could easily sit aside the early Dangerhouse catalog. Get in early or miss the boat. 100% Total Punk!
