Sheffield-based Denham Audio make their Lobster Theremin debut with an incredible 5 tracker of breaks and bass, backed with a club-fuelled remix from Maruwa.

EP opener 'Feel The Panic' sets the pace, crunchy drums with scorching acid basslines and old rave esque vocal hooks, merging into a dancefloor driven weapon. 'Volt' injects a punch, chopped up drum sequences with floating vocals and pulsating synth lines, one for the early hours of the dance.

On the flip side Denham Audio leads with a drum driven roller 'Bobby Wobbler', breaks and beats soar and transform into a weighty number.

'Check 1' blends classic rave esque sound pallets with punchy kick drums and clean, crisp synth lines. Maruwa's remix of 'Check 1' showcases her incredible ability to create productions destined to do the business in the clubs, hands in the air pads play gracefully with the drum elements from the original production.

The Hidden Cameras burst onto the Toronto music scene in the early 2000"s boasting an irresistible combination of pop and queer sensibilities. Playing self-proclaimed "Gay Church Folk Music" a new genre of their own making and songs ranging from haunted, aching ballads to foot-stomping anthems, the band"s outrageous stage shows packed such disparate venues as sweaty dance bars, art museums, a working porn cinema as well as many churches. Fronted by lead singer-songwriter Joel Gibb, the ensemble continues its musical provocations to this day, with Berlin now as its centre of gravity. The Hidden Cameras had yet to release a note of commercially available music when, in early 2002, they became among the most discussed and celebrated unsigned bands in the history of their native Toronto. By the close of the year, they had been the subject of uncommonly sensational features in The Globe and Mail (Canada"s national newspaper) as well as in every daily and weekly in Toronto. The sole album by cultish psychedelic pop band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. They formed in 1964 and split up after their debut, which appeared on prestigious label Decca in 1968. The lines "Is it much too much to ask / Not to hide behind the mask?" from "If You Only Had the Time" weree sampled on MF Doom's 2005 song "The Mask". All along with classic blues standard ‘Tobacco Road‘ (covered by anyone from The Animals to Brother Jack McDuff via Jefferson Airplane) and contemporary folk number ‘Morning Dew’ (originally penned by Bonnie Dobson) the record shows a series of original numbers verging on the happiest side of jangle-rock with a ‘nuggets’ feel all in all.

It tells the story of Madam Zajj, the personification of African rhythm, and Carribee Joe, who has his roots firmly in the jungle with his drums. Zajj travels out into the world seeking fame and sophistication and melds with the influences of cultures she weaves through the story, which gives a brief history of the rise of jazz and bebop. Originally recorded for the Columbia label in 1956, it was produced for television on the US Steel hour on May 8, 1957

The singer-songwriter and pianist Nina Simone came to prominence in the late 1950s after she signed to the Bethlehem label for her debut album, Little Girl Blue. Her move to Coolpix Records, the audio subsidiary of Columbia Pictures, allowed her near total artistic control of her material and her lengthy tenure with the company brought plenty of popular album releases. The 1966 oddity Nina With Strings was issued by Coolpix a couple of years after she left the company to begin recording for Philips; a strange mix of live recordings and studio outtakes, released without her knowledge or permission where the presence of orchestral strings on several tracks gives the album its title and overriding theme.

Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails/How To Destroy Angels) composed the Forse series using a Buchla Music Easel. Forse, meaning "maybe" In Italian, is a series of 3 double LP releases Cortini recorded for Imprec to release in 2013.

"All pieces were written and performed live on a Buchla Music Easel, in the span of one month. I found that the limited array of modules that the instrument offers sparked my creativity. Most pieces consist of a repeating chord progression, where the real change happens at a spectral/dynamic level, as opposed to the harmonic/chordal one. I believe that the former are just as effective as the latter, in the sense that the sonic presentation (distortion , filtering, wave shaping, etc) are just as expressive as a chord change or chord type, and often reinforce said chord progressions.

Of all the years with Nine Inch Nails the period spent writing and recording the instrumental record Ghosts I-iv is probably the one which changed my approach to music making the most. After that record I started getting more into instrumental composition, although I tried to approach it in a different way. While we had a vast array of tools and instruments at our disposal then, I decided to approach my pieces limiting myself to one instrument only, as I found myself being more decisive when faced with a limited creative environment."

This one, like most of their others sounds dark, dirty and hot.

This album is my first album where I’m displaying my vast array of skills: the lyrics (of course!), the production,the mixing and the photography is all me! Shout out to DJ Ginsu for the mastering and Ill Poetic for the album/vinyl layout.

It was important to me that I self produce a project at some point in my career. Autopilot is both the accomplishment and affirmation that I can achieve anything I set before myself by working hard and staying disciplined.

This album is not perfect. It’s not super clean or easy, but neither am I. Personally, I hate perfect albums because many times they are robotic and usually have no feeling. With Autopilot, you hear my heart in every word, soul in every kick, excitement in every snare snap and instrument. This is something special and I believe that it is one of my best! Thank you for riding with me all of these years and I hope that you stick around because I have so much more to give you. But for now, I give you the gift of Autopilot.

Taking its name from the 50-foot effigy burned every year by a hysterical mob during the Fiestas De Santa Fe in Santa Fe, NM, Zozobra is the brainchild of Caleb Scofield (Cave In / Old Man Gloom) and, to carry on his musical legacy, the two Zozobra albums Harmonic Tremors (2007) and Bird Of Prey (2008) can now be streamed everywhere on all streaming platforms once again. Also both albums will see their respective vinyl releases, the first time they will be officially issued on vinyl for widespread distribution (previous editions were tour-only editions and the Caleb memorial version). Harmonic Tremors was originally released in 2007 via Hydra Head Records and features drummer Santos Montano (Old Man Gloom) accompanying Scofield. It was recorded and mixed by Andrew Schneider at Translator Audio in Brooklyn, NY with art and design by Aaron Turner. The first of the pair of records representing Cock SPARRER’s re-emergence amidst the madness of the 1990s punk rock boom, Guilty as Charged stands as a testament to the timelessness of the Cock Sparrer sound, as these punk rock originators staked their claim to show the new generation how it’s done. On Guilty as Charged, the band’s playing is in fine form, and the lyrics display the same exhilarating, anthemic spirit that built the band’s reputation, as seen on tracks like “Roads To Freedom.” At the same time, the band’s winking, wry sense of humor shines through, never more than when they provide a tongue-in-cheek sequel to one of their all-time classics in the form of “I Fit Central Heating (Working Pt 2).” They even open up to show the Sparrer version of a romantic soft side in “Tough Guys.” But truly, for many fans, the highlight of the album is “Because You’re Young.” Perhaps something of a spiritual answer to the early Sparrer hit “What’s It Like To Be Old?,” “Because You’re Young” is a song from rock & rollers who have the wisdom and lived experience of years on their side. From their inception in 1988 until their hiatus in 2006, the Lungfish music band released 11 full-length albums and played concerts across the United States and in Europe. The band is renowned for intense creative productivity, releasing albums annually from the years 1992-2000. Originally released in 1992, Talking Songs for Walking was the group's debut full length album. After more than a decade out of print, it has been remastered and recut from the original tapes at Chicago Mastering Service. 1997's Indivisble was the band's fifth album. Lungfish is now, as it often has been, quasi if not entirely defunct. However, since the release of the band's last album in 2005, Feral Hymns, singer Daniel Higgs has embarked on a solo career, releasing albums on Northern Liberties, Thrill Jockey and Holy Mountain. In November, he will tour supporting Drag City artists, Om. ASA Osborne is currently recording and performing solo material under the name, Zomes. Both LP include a download.

Chopping Mall is a 1986 American horror film co-written and directed by Jim Wynorski, produced by Julie Corman, and starring Kelli Maroney, Mary Woronov, and Barbara Crampton. It focuses on three high-tech security robots turning maniacal and killing partying teenage employees inside a shopping mall after dark.

Chuck Cirino is an American composer with over 75 feature length projects to his credit including including film, TV, and web. Known for an energetic and experimental approach and his usage of electronics and synthesizers, Cirino's soundtrack to Chopping Mall remains a cult classic.
