Waxpoetics Magazines

If you’re into vintage black grooves, odds are that you’re already a subscriber of the WaxPoetics magazine. If you’re new to the this science and looking for background information about legendary as well as new artists and/or releases, you should always keep the current issue of WaxPo in reach as these guys definitely know what they’re writing about. Back in the early 2000s, no one was touching jazz, soul, funk, Latin or anything like that, so Andre Torres and Brian DiGenti decided to establish a magazine that’s dedicated to black music and culture. Since the first issue in late 2001, lots of good things happened: Instead of just reviewing stuff, WaxPo also founded a record label that’s responsible for reissuing super-rare records as well as giving underground artists a voice, a radio channel, and they launched an online store. Besides being one of the most sophisticated mags featuring amazing graphics, WaxPoetics also features some of the most prolific writers. For us, it’s hard to live without our bimonthly dose of WaxPo.
