dub tunes that feel like an endless BR Space Night episode from his teenager days..

Echocord welcomes the return of Mathimidori to the imprint with his ‘Anata’ EP, accompanied by a remix from New Yorker and Novel Sound boss Levon Vincent.

Mathimidori is the dub techno leaning guise of Germany’s Mathias Kaden, known for his works under his own name on imprints such as Rekids, Ovum and Freude Am Tanzen, while Mathimidori material has found a home on the likes of Mule Musiq, Raum, Ornaments and of course Echocord where he returns here following 2020’s ‘Akebono’ LP.

Opening the release is ‘Anata’, a texturally dense six-and-a-half-minute composition fusing pulsating subs, billowing synth atmospherics, spiralling dub echoes and sporadic dubbed out spoken word running atop a crisp 4/4 rhythm. ‘Zanziba’ follows and dives deeper via ethereal pads, snaking low-end pulsations, choppy stab sequences and heavily echoing reggae chants.

Levon Vincent steps up to remix ‘Zanziba’ next, delivering a typically raw and dynamic rework, upping the energy levels as dub stabs dynamically unfold and retract amongst a thunderous low-end drive, intricate synth flutters and low-slung drums across its ten minute duration.

After two utterly essential releases on ae Recordings and Primary Colours in 2021, Altone once more delivers the goods for Lempuyang. The label's eighth release brings together two of the most respected heads in the business on remix duties. Altone's deep & pulsing title track Vortex gets Yagya's glacial treatment on side A. Customization on the flip gets a Bluetrain rework; Steve's trademark Special Edition Dub giving the track a dancefloor edge.

Liquid Memory Records return from their power packed debut release with another VA affair featuring a familiar core of artists. Elroi, Ori Raz and Serenity Now all feature here again alongside newcomer WhereIsFenix joining the gang. As with the first release, expect dancefloor rhythms coupled with some deepness and dub thrown into the mix.

New Jersey Dub Techno stalwart Eric Louis delivers Rollings Hills, featuring remixes from Thule Records artist OHM, Vuo Records boss Tm Shuffle and Australian rising talent Dan Goul (Mixcult, Berg Audio) on remix duties. To inaugurate the precious label Van has invited impressive German producer Alexander Kowalski on remix duties. Alexander is well-known from Berlin to Detroit and he has played at legendary techno club Tresor. Love is Love is a real masterpiece beautifully crafted by these two artists.

Te Puke Thunder is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most sought after cannabis strains. Hailing from the volcanic regions of New Zealand, Te Puke Thunder is prized for its larger buds and higher potency. Gaining popularity in the 70s, the polyploid plant succeeded in becoming a well renowned strain and was notably displayed in a number of Amsterdam coffee shops. New Zealand authorities believe they have successfully wiped out the majority, if not all, possible trails for the whereabouts of the venerable strain. Some believe there may not be a single seed left with the unmatched genetics of the original Te Puke Thunder strain. Where the duos previous work has explored ideas in short bursts which capture you then fades away; Idle063 takes their sound into unexplored directions and shows an evolution in their output. By extending their ideas into long form tracks within the traditional lineage of bristol soundsystem culture and combining it with their unique ear for sampling Phase 4 / Witch brings O$vmv$m's into a territory which shows how wide their sound can truly reach

Last year, dub techno veterans Paul St Hillaire and Rhauder joined forces for a superb collaborative debut album, Decoded. Sushitech has wisely chosen to breathe new life into their soulful, dubbed-out exploits by handing over the parts to a string of high profile remixers. part 3 features the talents of Soulphiction, Leonel Castillo, & the Thibideau brothers (Mark & Matt).

IRENICSPC002 brings us two new tracks by Bas Amro, best known for his releases on Freerange Records and Wolfskuil Records. For this EP he takes an unusual straight-forward approach; ‘Chained’ is a driving dub track with beautiful chords, while ‘Nearing’ leans towards the deeper side of the techno spectrum. With both tracks being very suitable for the dancefloor, the b-side finds label boss Roger Gerressen changing pace, delivering a remix for the early hours.

Deep and hypnotic. That pretty much sums up the new Nacreous-EP by Shoal on the Dutch imprint NOWHERE. The title refers to a certain glow or color that mother-of-pearl radiates. Shoal is the alter ego of Utrecht-resident Kenny Dean Kneefel. When you have a name that sounds like a famous stuntman, you are probably prepared to take more risks. And indeed that's exactly what this producer from the lowlands does on Nacreous. Shoal's four track EP combines hallucinant grooves with delicate sound design. Like on Bygone Drums, where ominous distant sounds from a nearby factory creep between the shadows. The same can be said of the title track, a tribalistic tune with a delicate dark undertone. Never Endings is more uplifting, with its dubbed out basslines and crispy hi-hats. Dubtechno that reminds us of both Monolake and Fluxion. Scottish Techno wizard Astro joins Piff Records on their landmark tenth release, with 5 cosmic and groovy belters.

Having recently found success with his own Neptune Discs imprint and regularly performing up and down the country, Astro has firmly established himself as one to watch in the techno sphere. Opening with the title track, Astro combines a relentless bassline with dubbed-out chords and spacey leads. Echoing space-age soundscapes and futuristic sounds of 70s kosmische musik and 90s techno, Astro makes good on the aesthetic promised by his artist name.

Astro brings down the tempo for the hypnotic Cloned Substance. A mesmerising hat pattern combines with delay-drenched leads and a bouncy bassline to create a track intent on capturing the listener in a state of trance.

Thunderstorm adheres to the tried-and-tested Astro combination of a thick bassline, spacey stabs, and continuously evolving drums. As to be expected, the results are spectacular. Irresistible grooves and rich soundscapes are the order of the day as Astro delivers once again.

First release from the Portuguese vinyl only label, Dreams Come True. Born from the childhood dream of his mentor Ostinato, DCT aim to reflect his passion for vinyl records and electronic music. For this first release, nothing better than bring together friendship, passion and talent. In the last couple of years Floog and Ostinato became close friends and crafted this release togheter. The original tracks from Floog reflect all his versatility fusing minimal with some spicy and tasty vocals, following a different path of the classic rominimal sound. After a data leak from the lab's journal, the dangerous technology could have fallen into the hands of Aerospace Corporation, but luckily was intercepted by the Meta-Warp operational unit.
