Following the debut of the sequel with an exhibition showcasing artwork's creation and conceptualization, we face SEQ002: False Destination, a new chapter where the story continues in an unexpected way. It holds the question, to which unknown territory did the agent headed from his collapsed dimention?

Side A takes you on a journey that echoes the spirit of interdimensional travel, a recurring theme in electro music. Impact One throws you into a captivating sonic environment, grabbing your attention with distinct sonic events, all layered over a foundation of subtly shifting rhythmic patterns. A2 is another mention of wrong dimention, hard alterations on early 90s Rave revivalism with peculiar artifacts and touch of blue note with breakbeat burst out conclusion.

On the flip, a couple of heavyweights. Thick kicks jumping from 4-to-the-floor to broken beat, uncertain breakdowns and unexpected amen breaks driving audience on the edge. Hypnotic bassline for B1 was characterized as Giorgio Moroder on steroids. Last track is a calm blend in ending on a hybrid cosmic breaks combined with Yamaha DX7.

"Ayin" by San Pedro is a techno electronic music EP consisting of six tracks, recorded with analog synthesizers and samplers during a week of inspiration in the mountains in August 2023. The EP offers an engaging sonic experience, with intricate melodies and hypnotic rhythms that transport the listener through evolving soundscapes. San Pedro's combination of technological innovation and artistic sensitivity is reflected in each track, offering an exciting journey into the world of electronic music.

"Formed in 1975, Throbbing Gristle, aka Chris Carter, Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (1955-2010), Cosey Fanni Tutti, and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (1950-2020), fully delivered on punk’s failed promise to explore extreme culture as a way of sabotaging systems of control. Their impact on music, culture, and the arts has been immeasurable and still felt today.

Having reformed in 2004, Throbbing Gristle’s The Third Mind Movements initially emerged as an exclusive release only available on the band’s last ever American tour in 2009, before they split again in 2010. The album travels through manipulated, time-stretched, and distorted samples, with rhythmical breakbeats and hypnotic oscillations of electronics.

Gravity Loss will be the first EP released as part of Dsum's eagerly anticipated album, 'Water In The Moon.' Since his last album in 2022, he is pleased to announce a 12-track project focused purely on electro sounds, aiming between experimental ambient and Detroit techno, and which might be his most musical album to date. To be released on his label Back Door, Dsum's fourth album has been years in the making and sees him go back to the sound of his electronic music roots. The album's inception traces back to the lockdown period of 2020, serving as a tribute to his introspective musical exploration and honoring the genesis of electronic music. Featuring an analog sound loaded with lush pads, spatial synths, and solid raw 808 electro rhythms, tracks are brought together with a succession of short variations and instrumental snippets, contributing to a vision of what sound in outer space should be. 'Gravity Loss' alongside 'Double Distance' will be the two EPs bringing "Water In The Moon" to life, both to be released on vinyl as well as digital. This project's wax version sees ten tracks spread across 2x12" records releases in June and July, followed by the full album release in a digital format with extra exclusive tracks featuring all twelve songs in their original intended order.

Completing Dsum's latest album, 'Double Distance' emerges as the final quintet of tracks, igniting a celestial voyage for listeners. Opening with the pulsating energy of 'Protons,' the EP traverses the electro/techno spectrum, paying homage to electronic music's nascent era. From introspective ambient tones to pristine explorations of electro soundscapes, each track encapsulates a sonic odyssey of depth and innovation. Scheduled for release on vinyl and digital platforms in July, 'Double Distance' forms an integral component of the forthcoming album 'Water In The Moon.'

The Caledonian Dream is a supergroup from Glasgow, Scotland. They bring you the single, "Shot at Glory", a rousing terrace anthem that will surely help the Scotland National Football Team win their Euro 2024 campaign in Germany. Tired of the dirge that is our sporting national anthem, "Flower of Scotland" by The Corries, and the depressing, negative tone of Scotland's previous official World Cup song, Del Amitri's "Don't Come Home Too Soon", three old friends - John 'Sponi' Murray, Dave Clark & Bruce Jolliffe - made the decision to shake things up with a stomper to get the national blood pumping again. They took to the studio, melded proud lyrics, conquering beats, and tear-jerking pipes to produce what surely should be Thee Scottish football song for AT Least the next 200 years - our very own trophy-lifting soundtrack. Now the boys hope the tune will go viral, go mental - so please share it FAR AND Wide!

Long-time electro stalwart Carl Finlow is the man behind the Random Factor alias. He started it back in 1994 and it has given rise to four full lengths on 20/20 Vision, which is where he now returns with his first new long player in 15 years. Silencer is a superb return to form with a mix of electro-pop that is laden with indelible melodies, granular vocoders, angelic vocals and the occasion back room, heads down electro banger. As always these cuts are second to none with bumping electro-funkers like 'Adulterant' and celestial trips like 'Lab Grown' perfect for back rooms.

Spammerheads, in collaboration with Soil Records (the label with which the Valencia-based band has already released two of their previous works), presents their new album titled Disclaimer. With this new release, set to be issued on a 12″ vinyl, Spammerheads reaffirms their preference for industrial sounds firmly rooted in old-school EBM, while also solidifying a sound they have made their own. Disclaimer is a powerful work, pulsating with frenetic energy, where the tracks hit with intensity, delivering a blend of fun, dark humor, and a desire to get the dance floor moving through potent rhythmic sequences, thick basslines, and decisive melodies. As is customary, Disclaimer’s vocals and lyrics guide us through different emotional states, traversing fury, urgency, dissatisfaction, and a bit of attitude, ultimately culminating in the album’s final track in a better place – love.

Javier Revilla and Chris Demere, both from Hanover and inspired by electronic music of Kraftwerk and Jean-Michel Jarre, started to experiment with sounds since the late 70’s. The arrival of New Wave with bands like Heaven 17, The Human League, Soft Cell and Depeche Mode influenced these teenagers to began Cetu Javu in 1984 with Javier on vocals, Chris on synths, guitar, programming, Torsten Engelke on keyboards and Stefen Engelke on bass. In 1985, the band won the third place in a contest, a year later opened for Erasure and released their first single “Help Me Now!” in 1987 on their own label Deme Records. Like their compatriots Camouflage, Cetu Javu were unapologetically Depeche Mode-like in their sound, but with a fairly original twist on their synth pop formula. Their extremely catchy 1988 singles “Situations” and “Have in Mind” were instant hits on dance clubs and even received airplay on U.S. alternative radio stations. The band signed a contract with ZYX Records and released their debut album “Southern Lands” in 1990 followed by a tour together with Wolfsheim and Blind Passengers as supporting acts. “Southern Lands” is re-released including all original songs plus some extended versions, remixes and bonus tracks from the accompanying singles “Situations”, “Have in Mind” and “So Strange”. Limited edition of 500 copies on gatefold sleeve with a sticker.

Cetu Javu was a German synth-pop band lead by singer Javier Revilla Diez and synth wizard and composer Chris Demere. They started with the band in 1984 and in the spring next year surprisingly reached the third place in a young talent festival in Hanover. Several other shows followed but the highlight was a concert in December of 1986 as the opening act of Erasure. Their first maxi single “Help Me Now” was released in the spring of 1987 on their own label’s. Through the mediation of Talla 2xlc, Cetu Javu got a record contract with major company ZYX Records and released their debut album “Southern Lands” in 1990. When the song “A Dónde”, a B-side sung in Spanish included on the single “So Strange”, hit number two in Spain, the band surprisingly achieved a great success and toured all this country. The second full-length, “Where Is Where”, was released in 1992 in Spain. The success did not stop here and led Cetu Javu became very popular in some other countries such as Argentina and Mexico. Unfortunately, in 1994, between problems and having to make decisions about the future, the group withdrew from the music scene and each member moved to focus to other activities. “Where is Where” is re-released contains the original album along with some extended versions and remixes from the singles “¿Por Qué?”, “Dame Tu Mano” and “Una Mujer”. Limited edition of 500 copies on gatefold sleeve and a poster.

Both originating from Basel Switzerland, experimental dance outlets Amenthia Recordings and A Walking Contradiction combine forces and present their first collaborative release. Both known for their dare-to-do-different approach and proudly presenting sounds that come from their inner circle of friends they compiled the Flash Crash / Hack Crash EP with exactly this mindset. From Agonis' heavy stepper to Konduku's whirlpool of low frequencies on the Amenthia side with Lemont continuing on this same low-end tripped-out tip to the slo-mo swamp sounds from Varuna representing A Walking Contradiction in typical fashion.

Wonderful and intriguing quality Ambient experiments from Argentina on the Lapsus label! There are albums that tap into the very heartbeats of rhythm, melody and intricate sound design, pulsating with every musical note. This is the case of "Septimo Sentido", the new album by Buenos Aires-based producer Seph. Sebastian Galante aka Seph is no stranger to these realms; with almost two decades of experience under his belt, he has established himself as one of the leading talents in the Argentina techno scene and as one of the most intriguing minds in alternative Latin American electronic music. His productions have found a home in cutting edge labels such as Insurgentes -a platform led by the DJ and producer from Medellin (Colombia) Verraco, and sister label of TraTraTrax, which has reduced gaps between the Latin electronic scene and the rest of the globe- or his own label Aula Magna Records. He has also fostered collaborations, among which stands out his project Oscean alongside Andres Zacco, a project that was recently released on the legendary Berlin label Tresor. In his new album "Septimo Sentido", Seph exhibits superlative production skills and masterfully showcases the widest palette of the braindance sound, that intersection where countless genres and sub-styles can coexist. Here we hear echoes from the mid-90s that revive undeniable references of early IDM; but with a renewed form, under a fiercely contemporary new skin. At the core of this intriguing album, we find an artist whose devotion to experimentation takes his rhythmic and melodic obsessions through vibrant magical-techno-urban landscapes, where radiant colors and mutating forms collide in a bold and imaginative sonic journey. "Septimo Sentido" hails from the prism of perception, beyond the five senses and a step further than instinct, hunting for mysterious resonances with the cosmos; like a space portal inviting us to float a handspan above the ground. The story of this EP dates back to 2021, when we—the whole BMP crew—were attending our annual family gathering at the now-defunct Sarcus festival (R.I.P).



On a late Saturday afternoon, we all gathered under the same tent to watch one of our dear friends perform live. You guessed it: this friend is Malouane. From the first track of the live set, we in the audience exchanged astonished looks. We knew he had been working hard on this live set for months but didn't know anything about it. As the live set unfolded, we kept traveling mentally in a perpetual state of amazement.

By the end of the set, we all had the same idea: to congratulate Malouane and ask for the tracks so we could release an EP that would capture the essence of this live set, allowing us to relive that very special moment.



After a long wait, we are now more than happy to share some selected tracks from the set with you, hoping you will feel the same excitement we felt at the time.
As a cherry on top, besides having four tracks from Malouane, we asked our dear friend Gabriel Belabbas—from Positive Future—to craft an additional remix, giving this EP a deep house edge.

Midi Mode Records, a new chapter begins for the label formerly known as Mini Man Records. A home for the unmistakable energy of electro and techno grooves.

The decision to rebrand to Midi Mode as a name came after the previously known label title was unexpectedly caught up in a weird trademark dispute. The label has adapted to survive and will provide tracks for true believers, made by true believers into the future.

As the label unveils its upcoming releases, it starts with the "Fake Reality EP", a 5 tracker with Electro & Techno Funk, housing a collaboration with Human Rebellion & Power.

Electro heads should already be very familiar with the unmistakable electro sonic sounds of Human Rebellion. Furthermore to this, a fusion with the stripped back Detroit electro sounds of Power means the senses are pushed to move in dark rooms with the fierce Techno cut of "I'm a Freak". All of this is combined with a haunting and unhinged remix from Nite Fleit that's mesmerising.

A new album is finally on Drivecom. A 2xLp full of new tracks recovered and rearrenged around 2022-23. No doubt the legacy of the past works are represented. Some arpeggios and melody lines will remember us to sonic landscapes from the “La Hora de las Máquinas” or “The Source” albums by Boris Divider but with a new and refreshed production sound, for sure this will be a must item for all the electro community and fans of the label.



The album opens with the intro track “The Way You Feel Me” a mix between electro and synthwave with a moog bass and arpegio reminiscent of some Arpanet’s “Wireless Internet” tracks. Then followed for the “Letters From A Sleeper” theme. As the track’s name reflects, it's a clear tribute to the synth era of David Harrow/Anne Clarke’s “Sleeper in Metropolis” just like a reply from a postnuclear future, with a big role carried out by the initial synthline. Then the first slow bpm track is for “Distante” where synthlines a la Tangerine Dream are crossed and mixed with vintage digital rhythm machine sounds and the pattern seems to be taken from those Dire Straits’ “Money for nothing” intro drum arrange in an infinite and repetitive way.



In the B Side “You Know What I Know” track is again showing an Arpanet-ish intro synthline followed by a sequential prophet's arpeggio which bring us back to the old “La hora de las máquinas” sound. Closing the first 12 inch is “Sin Mirar Atrás”. One of the most important tracks of the album for the author. A big dimensional and introspective track full of vintage synthlines and reverb. Time for “Your Light” track is again here. This song was already presented with its own reference on Drivecom. A future pure Electro classic which was announcing the album months before.



In the same side, we find another slow tempo theme called “Recursos Infinitos” an instrumental track which implements several synthlines that interlink themselves into an infnite Tangerine Dream’s soundtrack that serves as a little break to the power and darkness of “Cenital”. Electro rhythm patterns and dark arpeggio synthlines in the vibe of Vangelis’ Blade Runner are mixed in this cold dystopian agressive dancefloor track. Later we find the theme that gives name to the album: “ Memories From The Dust” a slower track which mixes sounds and melodies between “La Hora de las Máquinas“ and other 80's digital keyboard sounds. The last track is just an outro theme called “Out of Sync”. Its name is a clear statement of its own musical arrangement, synthlines are full out of timing and synchro, it was recorded in realtime from a modular synth to a digital device in one take.

Legendary electro explorer Emile Facey aka Plant 43 is back on his Plant43 Recordings imprint. Despite being hugely prolific, the artist always managed to find fresh new creative ground with each new outing and Concrete Echo is no different. The title cut is a high-speed opener with shimmering lines, fizzing static electricity and drama in the chords that make you take note. 'Emerald Shift' is a broken beat kicker with raw claps and scintillating liquid metal leads while 'Raw Vectors' layers up acid wobbliness and textbook electro rhythms. 'Mist Memory' closes down with a melancholic vibe and heady synths that take you into the cosmos.

Having built a cult following with his live hardware performances and releases on Orson and Varial, Ninechecker disembarks for a solo EP displaying his versatility. The blistering A Very English Wind opens procedures, followed up by the evocative gliding dub of Antennas. On the Bside, shifting gears again with the Rephlex-informed menace of Curtain Twitcher and closing with the lush, woozy cassette ambiance of Proposal.

Mannequin Records boss Alessandro Adriani returns on his own label with four tracks that were previously available exclusively as digital releases.

Known for his unique blend of electro and synth wave sounds, Adriani has made a significant impact on the underground music landscape. With this new vinyl release, Adriani brings his distinctive musical vision to a vinyl audience, offering a tangible experience that digital formats cannot replicate. Each track is a testament to his ability to merge pulsating electronic beats with atmospheric synth melodies, creating a soundscape that is both nostalgic and innovative.

Club music culture necessarily shifted gears in many ways during and after the course of the pandemic. Older participants found their way into other interests and younger participants took new reigns to orient spaces they felt good inside of. The agenda for the music, and the cultural industry surrounding it at large, took a more frivolous and “fun” turn. Clubs needed to recoup lost money, people needed more refreshing catharsis for their nightlife escape, and in some pockets scattered around the globe a newer and younger cadre of producers/promoters/DJ’s pulled optical cues from a scattering of “darker” influences to give an alternate aesthetic to the aforementioned “vibes” culture. In the midst of this, a large polarization of conceptual energy shifted within the compositional and utilitarian machinations of the club music culture leaving behind the brooding and cerebral placeholders for different kind of enjoyable hedonism. Terrestrial Paradise’ “Artificial Hell” harkens to another prescient time before that shift occurred. “Artificial Hell’ might just be an illustration of what all of this fun escapism encapsulates.

Terrestrial Paradise is the latest moniker from Montreal come Los Angeles based producer Jaclyn Kendal. Having developed and cemented her sonic positionality with releases on North American labels like Ascetic House and Summer isle over the years, as well as a series of monolithic live sets, Bank is pleased to announce Kendal’s Terrestrial Paradise first full length album “Artificial Hell”. Over the course of nine recordings, “Artificial Hell” gives a master class in pressurized industrial techno of the slower variety. Fitting with the legacy of Bank’s output since it’s inception, Terrestrial Paradise’s aesthetic sensibilities sit within the canon of a certain tinge of club music imbued with a sense of natural grit, sans pretense.

“Artificial Hell” nods to artists like Scorn, Regis, and 400 PPM while maintaining it’s own territory in the landscape of cerebral and brooding rhythmic techno. Ominous, mechanistic drones sit above succinctly exacted percussion composition and sound design. Throughout “Artificial Hell”, Kendal shows her proficiency with the push and pull of building and releasing tension. On tracks like “Salvation” and “Relativity” she melds her synth wash wallscapes with driving percussion, serving as both a hint and counterpoint to the the entirety of the latter part of the album taking on spartan ambient compositions as a way to keep the listener in a subdued stasis. This album is a statement piece from a long time participant in the North American underground music sectors. It reminds the listener through perilous, considered rhythms and darker drone impositions to cement themselves back into a place where not everything is always a good time.

Black Dot lands on Italo Moderni with a cult futuristic gem on vocals by Le Chocolat Noir and hardware wizard Christian Kroupa, three obscure killers bangers ready for the dancefloor, last but not least with an epic remix by the king Marcel Dettmann. Mastered by Alden Tyrell.

Mirroring his wide musical influences and production techniques from early detroit to UK wave and dub music, Techstar Liner is powered by a drumbrain and flying on ringing spring-reverbs. After the fast selling “Emolotion EP” on Italy’s “Mondo Phase” imprint and the “The Rise of Poseidon 1” on the Argentinian label “Calypso’s Dream” released last year we present you the final chapter of the early 00’s Electro and Electro Clash gems produced by Break 3000 while living in Maastricht and Cologne.

The first track is a remix made for the legendary “Pocketgame” label from Germany in 2003 that was run by Maru & Comix, released on the “We Are He-Man EP” by “STR & Tim Tycoon” that also featured a stellar “Legowelt” remix. This one is an absolute belter of a track and to this day is one of Break 3000’s favorite tunes he ever produced. Followed by the cool, dark and Cold-Wave’esque Electro cut “The Wait” that was released on a massive Compilation on “Pocketgame” that same year called “Bonuslevel One – North and South” with such amazing artists on it like “Steril”, “Ladytron”, “Mutron”, “Nitsch and Gleinser”, “Hong Kong Counterfeit” and of course the label heads “Maru & Comix”.

The B-side looks back in time even further. “Electric Blue” and “Spacemachinenreise” were released on “Meuse Muzique” from Maastricht and were on the “Maastricht-Liege EP” and the “Electric Kingdom EP” from 2002 and 2003. "User Six": Inspired by an earlier live set, features a loop that straddles the lines between house and techno. “Rainy Move” was thought and produced on a rainy day, this track maintains a dreamy and ambiguous atmosphere while retaining a driving house groove.“XP Pattern Test” explores sampling from other instruments, culminating in a dark, closing track with an ominous tone.

Imogen presents Wigs002 - a four track EP celebrating the women of Wigs, featuring Grace Dahl, Nvst, Rebecca Alle Paine and Imogen.

Wigs002 kicks off with heavy breaks and kick drums bringing a rough hardcore vibe to Imogen’s latest single ‘shoutout 2 Ldn’, premiered by radio legend Mary Anne Hobbs on her Radio 6 show.

Imogen samples a vocal from her favourite 90s MC Alex Pearce, adopting the same “zero f***s attitude” of the early 2000s techno scene. She combines this with squelching reese basses and slick programmed breaks to bring the same energy of early warehouse parties to the dancefloors of today.

Next up, Grace Dahl departs from her usual rolling techno style with electro banger ‘I Like Em Sexy’. A fast-paced distorted vocal slides its way through the drums into an epic breakdown before an unexpected 4/4 drop. Imogen and Dahl’s musical chemistry shone in their B2B on the Wigs NTS show, making this the perfect A-side combo of the EP.

Upcoming Italian DJ and producer Rebecca Alle Paine keeps up the EP’s high energy with the perfect DJ tool of rolling 909 drums. Hardgroove is having its resurgence right now and Rebecca is a leading light in the genre currently flooding the scene. Wigs isn’t the only label to pick up on Rebecca’s driving style - she recently released an album on hardgroove legend Ben Sims’ label as well as featuring on Freddy K’s KEY. It is clear Rebecca is one to watch for 2024.

Nvst closes off the EP in a mind bending Aphex Twin-style crescendo. ‘A Face Has No Voice’ is an eight minute long saga boasting her skill as a multiverse producer. Artist Bio:

Marco Segato is a sonic explorer, producer and live performer currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He's the co-founder of Rete Neurale Milano E.S.T. - an event born in the infamous Milanese multi-cultural space Macao - and curator of the mix series Empty Signal Transmission. He was a Red Bull Music Academy alumnus in 2016 Montréal (Canada) and graduated in Audio Production at SAE Institute Milan in 2017. During the last few years, Marco released his music under three different monikers: La Serpiente, MS, and Narvalos (a duo project with Alessio Costantino aka Askmeaboutdogs). Across these projects, his sound maintains a sense of mysticism brewing with eerie tension, influenced and incorporating sounds of broken beats, post-industrial experimentations, and ritualistic elements to conjure psychic immersion. He produces and performs live sets with analog and digital hardware, with a sonic outcome that always saturates the mind with extra-musical ideas. Marco has released on labels such as Brokntoys, Xcpt Music, Random Numbers, Sons of Traders, Communion Records, Dionysian Mysteries, Vastechoses, etc... as well as on many solidarity compilations like Перамен! A Compilation for Belarus, Despertar: Chile, Sonic Resistance. A Compilation For Rojava. Imaginary time is a representation of time that appears in some approaches to quantum mechanics; mathematically speaking, it simply is a line perpendicular to the time axis. Inspired by this concept and by the possibilty of transcending the normal restrictions of time and space through the power of imagination, Industrial / DIY music cult act Nocturnal Emissions released a first raw and irregular version of Imaginary Time in 1996, followed three years later by a new more rave inspired mix, this time reflecting a political urge of that particular moment in time when the squatting scene, free parties, and non commercial raves - all existing tied up with campaigns of anti-capitalist protests going on in the late 90s - were upsetting the powers of the ruling class and the authoritarian government in the UK. Sunny Crypt is beyond happy to bring back to life all the past forms of Imaginary Time in another particular moment on this timeline as its sixth release with a fully remastered vinyl reissue, with a brand new powerhouse 4/4 remix by all things Techno / Electro / Jacking wizard Gesloten Cirkel and a renewed graphic outfit. A continuation of the extensive research project initiated last year between Sound Metaphors, Transmigration and surviving eye-witness/historian Ray Castle. An in depth analysis of the dancefloor landscape that developed in Goa during the 80s' and early 90's well before "Trance" became the unfortunate dirty word it is today. Before "trance" was even a genre, Goa was brewing a scene with unparalleled aesthetics, with a constant influx of dedicated collectors and DJs coming and going to this tropical underground dancefloor haven, filtering through vast amounts of emerging electronic music of the times and distilling only the finest of "Special Goa Music". Here is another compilation of our chosen most impactful tracks that would have been soundtrack to a very special and pure moment of freedom in dancefloor culture before the bastardisation of what we now know as "Goa Trance". Italian producer Heinrich Dressel is off to a strong start in 2024, with a first release on Italian label Bordelo A Parigi, and now on Paris sublabel Distrikt, Serenity In Keos, with a more electro-club-oriented ep.

Eris inaugurates the Plexus 4 label with the stylish psychedelic club sounds of 'Glimmers'. The Sardinian-Croatian duo consisting of Enrica Falqui and Dea Dvornik drops their next EP this June. Eris, AKA Enrica Falqui and Dea Dvornik, mint the Plexus 4 label with the 'Glimmers' EP. Their music mixes acid, techno, and house and has found a home on the likes of Warning, 20/20 Vision and DJ Masda's Cabaret Recordings. Eris 'Glimmers' drops via Plexus 4 15th June 2024.

Next up on Aris is a particularly special one - Ireland's first electronic music 12"- Carrier Frequency's Telecaster Man, a particularly Irish take on the acid house sounds of the late 80's, that still does the job 35 years later. "A nine minute tune with two chords, it's just f-ckin' madness mostly - distortion and drum machines." simply put by one of the artist himself, but it's much more really. The record originally released in 1989 was a collaborative effort featuring the talents of Mr. Spring, Leo O'Kelly of 70's folk heroes Tir Na nOg, and Trevor Knight of 80s synth pop band Auto Da Fe, Mr. Spring, a veteran of pirate radio since his early teens and the local go to studio guy for dreamers and the Depeche Mode and Talk Talk clones of the time, spearheaded the project. Drawing from his extensive experience and technical prowess, Spring had already established his own studio in 1987, equipped with state-of-the-art gear including an Atari sequencer and an Akai s900 sampler. Joining Spring in this creative endeavor were Leo O'Kelly and Trevor Knight, both esteemed musicians with diverse backgrounds. O'Kelly, known for his pioneering work with 70s folk outfit Tir Na nog, brought his unique blend of folk and electronic influences to the table and Knight, a seasoned performer with roots in jazz fusion and new wave. Spring had met them while Djing before one of their gigs and was immediately taken with Telecaster Man. They decided to work together on it as Spring says "We wanted to get a Cabaret Voltaire sound to it and have a bit of fun." Fueled by a shared passion for experimentation and sonic exploration and inspired by the dynamic energy of the club scene and the rapidly evolving sounds of electronic music, the late-night recording sessions in Spring's studio characterized by spontaneity and innovation. The result of their collaboration was "Telecaster Man," a nine-minute tour de force combining distorted guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and pulsating synthesizers. The 12 inch comes with the original and Sinewave mixes plus a new Mr. Spring remix from the original multi tracks rounding it out with the replication remix and a bonus acapella. Full colour sleeve and comes with extended liner notes.

German artist Martin Matiske’s start in music came at the hands of the legendary DJ Hell, who invited him to his first DJ gigs in 1999 at one of his Gigolo label nights in Munich. His own productions, inspired by early electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre, soon followed on International Deejay Gigolo Records, as have many more since on Frustrated Funk, Bordello A Parigi, Moustache Records and Central Processing Unit. Matiske has had high-profile support from the likes of Dave Clarke and Helena Hauff, and this new EP for Brooklyn-based label Melodize is another one that will likely find wide acclaim.

The fantastic ‘Moments’ opens up with ice-cold snares and drum sounds that are backlit by celestial pads as retro-future synth work brings colour to this catchy and optimistic proto-electro groove. ‘Moments’ then gets a sublime remix treatment from the prolific and endlessly creative Legowelt, who has explored every different style possible under a myriad of aliases on a range of cult labels like Clone, LIES and Crème Organization. The Dutch maestro’s superb take on ‘Moments’ is an astral electro workout with killer acidic lines, squelchy bass and daubs of psychedelic colour.

On the flip, ‘Dimensional Space Travel’ is another cinematic electro journey that taps into the motorik tick of Kraftwerk with distinctive melodic phrasings, forming a playful call-and-response with the background chords. Closer ‘Analogue Being’ taps into early electro with lovably tinny rhythms and sugary, pixelated analogue chords that bring a sense of nostalgia and ruefulness.

Return To Disorder welcomes Evighet Records label head Marco Bruno for some brilliantly controlled sonic chaos on this new electro exploration. His Sharp Focus EP brings together ambient, breaks and techno to snappy electro rhythms of the sort that he has already showcased in style on labels such as Blueprint Records and Machine. This one opens with the sleek, future-facing and speedy sounds of 'Storyteller' before 'Values Over Ego' gets more textured and raw with knick-snapping hits and prying synth lines making for real turbulence. 'Twist Of Fate' is a jungle workout that ducks and dives on warped bass and 'Karmic Pattern' is a slow but textural and intense closer with rueful chords.
