TEKA as the musical mastermind behind “Vizion” has created hits for the likes of Lutan Fyah, Richie Spice, Ziggi Recardo, Trettmann and Megaloh and more within the last 15 years. In 2005, his “Crystal Woman” riddim got voiced by the energetic deejay Cali P among others – which led to a close work relationship. Since then, Cali collaborated with artists like Walshy Fire, Capleton, Equiknoxx, Swing Ting & Massive B. In late 2018, Cali P and TEKA launched “Vizion” on the freshly founded label LowLow as a new project exploring the hybridity of reggae and hip hop.

The two reggae protagonists use current styles from the international hip hop scene and unite them with their typical, heavyweight roots sound. The result is a warm, authentic hybrid of tracks, which blast both radio and sound system suitable productions through your bass bins, with an optimistic yet serious flavour.

Limited edition of 100 copies on cassette of "Comprehension", the sophomore album by Shadez Ov Blac from Winnipeg, MB, Canada.

The group's debut "Next School Pioneers" dropped in 1995 via Peanuts & Corn, a Canadian underground label run by mcenroe. "Comprehension" followed in 1999, originally self-released on CD only accompanied by a now hard-to-find 12" release.

The album features mic guests such as Odario, Ismaila and Fayce as well as productions by mcenroe, The Buddha and Howard Hyman.

Recorded between 1994-98, the album still has that special Bushwick underground vibe and feel. Bazarro's words on the project: "What a time to be alive. We just sat in the crib making music, having fun, playstation, trying to change the world in our little world. Everything we talk about then is happening now. Good luck in the game called life. So many mixed emotions on this ride."

Mattic, a prolific rapper known as a member of The Others and his works with Wax Tailor, La Fine Equipe and ASM (A State of Mind), teams up with Paris-based producer Parental for another beautiful Hip-Hop album full of Jazz and Soul. The album includes features by Alcynoos, Haken Besik, YagoMeans and Green T of ASM and will be another jewel in the crates for fans of Jazz Liberatorz, Nujabes or Blu & Exile.

Limited edition of 300 copies of the "Yummy EP" by Das Kate Schellenbach Experiment, the producer duo Torsten Scholz and Tom Körbler from Berlin/Augsburg.

Torsten is the bass player of the Berlin band Beatsteaks. Tom is an independent producer, engineer and musician and also works for Beatsteaks among others. As a collaborative artist project, DKSBE! releases singles at regular intervals, in cooperation with known or unknown musicians.

The "Yummy EP" presented here comes in the classic single format, which is rather unusual for a rap EP. If now it becomes clear that the 5 songs have a maximum length of about 1:30 min, one feels rather reminded of punk or hardcore releases of the 80s or 90s. That was also the purpose of this release from DKSBE!

Logo, that the sound does not come along so hanging. Bang already! Short crisp rap songs with punk attitude, if you needed a description, then probably this one.

The vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies and comes in a cardboard sleeve.

We instantly felt in love with his remix takes on classic Hip Hop cuts a few years ago and it was a no-brainer for us to get him on board when he presented the "Blue Hopes" album. Strictly limited edition of 500 copies of "From The Levels Below", the 1995 self-distributed debut release of the Harleckinz (Big Sal, Doubleface and Boogieman) from Berlin, Germany.

The press profile that was originally accompanying the vinyl release stated the following:

"Harleckinz was founded in 1989 in Berlin, Germany. The group consists of three rappers, as well as a D.J., aged 19-23. The Harleckinz are multicultural and multilingual with ethinical backgrounds: American (New York), German, Jamaican, Spanish, and Turkish. The music has potential to embrace an underground, as well as mainstram audience due to it's strong beats on one hand, and soulfoul, melodious accompaniment on the other hand. Lyrics and music are solely written / produced by the Harleckinz.

As far as it is known, Harleckinz is the first German HipHop act seriously attempting to internationalize the rap music scene by intentionally seeking a record contract / career in the U.S. and simultaneously or subsequently promoting their anyhow made name throughout Europe's, precisely Germany's, flourishing HipHop community. Wandl, the progressive 25-year-old producer, musician and vocalist from Vienna, is back with his second solo album, "Womb". Following the success of his debut release "It's All Good Tho" (2017), an extensive tour with Bilderbuch in Germany, a performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona (2018) and several artistic projects (2019), "the master of delayed loops" now delivers a self-produced and highly condensed work of about 25 minutes that focuses on the dark chords of the emotional keyboard.

With "Womb", Wandl engages in musical interspaces where potential clarity gradually dissolve into the nebulous blanket of the night. In the midst, Wandl's distinct voice unites with his characteristic soundscapes and the warm euphony of the piano. His songs deal with self-doubt, emotional inhibition, freedom found in loneliness, undesired social acknowledgement, transcendence and the arrival in the womb of an unexpected maternal reconnection. In the end there is even yodeling.

The usual platitudes of the new economy as crude maximization strategies are thus safely ignored: Wandl is a genre unto itself. Something for your mind, body and soul – in the best sense of the word.

"God Sound" was the sophomore album of the Boogiemonsters from 1997, being a duo then consisting of Vex Da Vortex and Mondo McCann after their debut "Riders Of The Storm: The Underwater Album" from 1994 as a four-men crew. The album production was mostly handled by themselves, additional beats were provided by Domingo, John Doe and Caspa. Features included Philly poetress Bahamadia as well as Tysha.

"God Sound" is not the cliched distillation of sophomore album angst that has become the norm in modern day artistry. Unlike many musicians who feel pressed to release a second album, Mondo & Vex took their time, honed their production skills and solidified their personal situations. Like God's true sound - that tree growing in the midst of urban decay; the sunflower making its way through a crack in concrete, a sunshower dissipating the dirt, grime and heat of a hot summer day - "God Sound" flourished around advents of human civilization.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

"When I listen to Yusef now, I'm reminded of what I felt then and that is he knew his time on Earth was limited. The tone was new, stern authoritative on his views and expressions of Hip Hop. I knew he was talking to me and each one of our peers. The tapes have been safe for 20 years thanks to Dee Skee for maintaining archives at Weightless Audio. The implications that I knew someone who may have said things because their span was going to be cut. I'm thinking he saw clearer than we could. I felt he wanted to be a guide in the discovery of what kind of Man I would live to be and what kind of Man listening to this music would turn out to be? I don't know if I had inclinations of my time being so short what I would have been spending it doing and he spent his saying these weighted lines. I thought it abrasive at first but I understand now why he said what he said and how with style! I miss him everyday and I'm so proud that Yusef's music can finally be showcased to the world in the beautiful way it is deserving. I'm blown back looking at the pictures, so many sat on that couch Yusef sits Ganjah K, Meen Green. What great sessions… no magical sessions. Preparing to play this record we would probably roll something and get comfortable on that couch… well… drop the needle! Push play!"

Berlin, Germany, sometime early, early nineties. 3 MCs share a dream, a dream of taking this rap thing to the max. It wasn't long before Doubleface, Boogieman and Big Sal started making noise in the streets of the capitol and by the mid-nineties the band Harleckinz was a household name in Germany's rap music scene. "Raw Rythms" is kind of a best of release of Mik's mixtape sessions from 1996/97. The Berlin-based founder of legendary German independent hip hop magazine "Mik's News" (later on "MK Zwo") blessed the clubs and jams with his amazing DJ-sets and became a household name during the 90's.
