The TTW10 from Varia Instruments is a turntable weight which combines two needful features for every vinyl DJ: A disc stabilizer and an adapter for 7“ records. So, it works either for 12" and 7" records.

The Varia Instruments TTW10 features a smart mechanism: The 7“ adapter inside the weight is moveable - as soon as you put the weight on a 7", the adapter will fall down through the big hole of the vinyl. Your record is now centered and stabilized by the TTW10. If you place the kit on a 12“ record, the adapter will remain in the rear position and stabilizes your warped records. A sticky rubber mat on the bottom side protects your vinyl and allows you to control the record in a very direct way.

The TTW10 comes in a neat printed box with a linen bag to take it out to your gigs.

An alignment protractor is used to find the correct distance from stylus tip to tonearm pivot.

When aligning a cartridge for tangency using the alignment protractor, it is essential to remember that you are attempting to align the cantilever (and, hence, the stylus), not the cartridge body. There is no guarantee that the cantilever is perfectly aligned within the cartridge body, so simply aligning the cartridge body will not necessarily produce the desired result.

Furthermore, many cartridge bodies have non-parallel sides, making tangential alignment of the cartridge body with the lines of tangency on the gauge virtually impossible.

An alignment protractor is a plastic template onto which are printed the null point(s) and lines of tangency against which the cartridge should be aligned. The template is placed over the turntable's spindle (made possible via a spindle-sized hole drilled in the template) and placed against the platter.

Cartridge must be adjusted until the cantilever is parallel to the set of parallel lines. And this should be achieved for both the indicated points. When the cartridge's longitudinal axis is parallel with the horisontal lines, tracking error will be at a minimum.

Just in case the middle hole is tight:
Take a scissor , put it from bottom in the hole, screw it 2-3 time slightly, test it, if still too tight, repeat it. Then it should fit perfectly.

This product is a NAGAOKA produced and manufactured replacement stylus for the M44G, a cartridge widely used by DJs around the world. We have received many inquiries about a replacement stylus compatible with the M44G, since we had 'GD63-44G' in our lineup. After the production of 'GD63-44G' was discontinued, we reviewed the specifications and developed a new model. The new DJ-44G has a high sound pressure, delicate, wide-range, and powerful sound while keeping main features of toughness and solidity from the original M44G replacement.

The 10 inch record was originally marketed as a 'Long Playing' or LP record and reigned supreme until about 1954 with the advent and popularity of the 12 inch Record. Still and all, this proud slab of wax continues to live in hearts and bins of many collectors.

The 10 inch record is often offered as a unique keepsake for fans and a chance for an artist to release a superior sound quality recording when cut at 45 rpm. Deep uncrowded grooves!
