Established in 1958 by Ejnar Lauridsen in Karup, Denmark, Elka is specialized in outdoor and high-end workwear. The brand’s name combines the founder’s initials with the first syllable of his hometown. In the early stages, Elka offered unisex underwear as well as raingear. In the late 1970s, Elka changed its name into Elka Rainwear to sound more international and to emphasize the brand’s focus on functional outdoor apparel. Know-how and experience are Elka’s greatest resources, it ensures that the brand remains flexible and innovative, offering high-quality products including new launches such as Dry Zone, D-Lux, EDGE and other awesome stuff. The Elka product range consists of waterproof clothing, work wear, thermal wear, snowsuits, softshell jackets and other clothing for those who look for functionality. Elka also made special production of waders, covers for bicycle trailers, nylon covers for airport use and much more. They haven’t yet received a challenge that could not be solved.
