Keds Shoes

Established in 1916 by US Rubber, Keds is a company that stays true to its roots. Back then Keds started producing low-top shoes with canvas upper and a slim rubber sole, the predecessor of the famous casual kicks known as Champion. Today lots of kids use the term “sneaker” but only a few know that Keds was solely responsible for inventing it because the rubber soles avoided making lots of noise and allowed sneaking around silently – that’s why Keds is the only brand to proudly offer “the original sneaker” these days. Keds is also responsible for the famous 1960s B-Ball kicks known as Pro-Keds, and although the Pro-Keds items were more comfortable and suitable for playing ball, they stand by the minimalist trademark look. Today the famous Champion shoe is equipped with stylish seasonal colors and a variety of uppers such as the original canvas as well as softer jersey or denim-type of chambray fabric.
