Quartz controlled 300 Hz light source

Enables exact adjustment of your turntable speed by keeping the light source independent from fluctuations in the mains frequency and voltage, which would otherwise give distorted results. A quartz oscillator generates an accurate 300 Hz, white light source, making precise speed adjustment easy when used in conjunction with the Clearaudio Stroboscopic Testrecord.

White LED for improved visibility:
The transition from a blue LED to a white LED ensures an even better visibility of the line pattern on the stroboscopic disc. Every pulse is accurately captured, allowing for precise speed adjustments.

Extended operating time with a new battery:
The switch to the lithium button cell (CR2023) not only provides a longer operating time but also ensures a constant power supply for reliable performance. The Speed Light V2 does not have a rechargeable battery and operates only on a battery or continuous power.

New Micro-USB port for battery-independent operation:
The implementation of a Micro-USB port offers the option of battery-independent operation.

Aluminum casing:
The casing, milled from solid material and made of anodized aluminum, replaces the previous plastic, improving durability and adding an aesthetically pleasing element.

Compatible with the Stroboscopic Test Record:
The clearaudio Speed Light V2 is perfectly tuned for use with our Stroboscopic Test Record.

The stylish CNC-machined wooden plinth features no plastic parts and is carefully manufactured to ensure there are no hollow spaces inside, therefore avoiding unwanted vibrations within the chassis. Carrying this philosophy through the design, the glass platter is also a heavy, zero-resonance design – again avoiding the flaws of plastic or lightweight steel alternatives.

No corners cut. More sound.
The T1 tonearm is a new model, based on previous Pro-Ject designs. It is now a complete one-piece design, entirely made out of aluminium! Together with the low friction bearings, this guarantees absolute accuracy in use. The integrated headshell won‘t cause any additional vibrations either, and is a big improvement over other detachable, screwed-on or glued-on headshells! The belt driven motor is attached to a newly designed sub-platter, which is mounted into an ultra-precise 0.001mm main bearing with a hardened stainless steel axle and brass bushing. Alongside the electronically controlled motor system, the T1 is therefore able to ensure a smooth, anti-resonant rotational platform for the tonearm and cartridge to ride across.
