Armor-Lux Apparel

Established in 1938 by Walter Hubacher, a Swiss of German origin, in Quimper, France, Armor Lux is a brand that offers apparel inspired by the Mediterranean native region of the company. The Armor Lux designs represent the values of the Bretagne, expressed by colors, shapes and silhouettes of the clothing pieces. Originally, Hubacher produced underwear under the name of La Bonneterie d’Armor. In 1940, he bought his first knitting machine. 25 years later, Armor Lux acquired dye-works department to ensure the complete quality management of their products. Another milestone in the company’s history marks the year 2005 when Armor Lux released a collection made from fair-traded cotton under the name of Fairtrade / Max Havelaar. Four years later, Armor Lux signed a certification contract with ECOCERT to produce and distribute clothing made from organic cotton. Armor Lux even introduced an own quality control system that guaranteed an end-to-end documentation of the production stages, based on Norm NF ISO 9001 Version 2008.
