Established in 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark-based brand Han Kjøbenhavn first introduced high-end eyewear pieces, and it still remains the heart of the company until this day. The inspiration draws from modern Danish design aesthetics as well as classic shapes of sunglasses, while a little extra twist has been added to each item. The frames of Han Kjøbenhavn shades are made of handmade Italian Mazzucchelli acetate plus Japanese nickel-free silicon hinges, and equipped with scratch-free Carl Zeiss CR-39 CZ branded lenses. This season, Han Kjøbenhavn offers a collection of twelve different designs in a large number of colorways – by the way, all of them are suitable for prescription lenses. In the last years, Han Kjøbenhavn also developed into a menswear brand, making the 2013 Complex list of 15 best Scandinavian labels. Even GQ stated that Han Kjøbenhavn is one of the eight Scandinavian brands people must know.
