Columbia Sportswear Shorts

Established in 1938, Columbia Sportswear Company is known for designing and manufacturing functional gear for outdoor enthusiasts all over the world. It was chairman Gert Boyle’s parents who fled Germany in the year of founding and settled in Portland where they purchased a small hat manufacturer, naming it the Columbia Hat Company which marked the origin of Columbia Sportswear. Named after a famous river out of Portland, Columbia is produces apparel, shoes as well as accessories that protects you from the elements and keeps you warm and comfortable. Thanks to the employees who are passionate about the outdoors and enjoy nature, Columbia Sportswear continues to strive for perfection when it comes to innovative cold weather protection. A very important fact for the success of Columbia is that the company is located in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by epic forests, volcanic mountains, a rugged coastline, and open spaces, so they know exactly what people who look for outdoor activity need. This is why Columbia developed custom technologies to protect against wind, water, UV rays and bug bites.
