Ebbets Field Flannels Strapback Caps

While Ebbets Field Flannels co-founder Jerry Cohen grew up in Brooklyn, he listened to his father telling stories of the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers players of another era. He was proud of the Brooklyn Dodgers’ heritage as the first major league team to integrate professional baseball in 1947, with the addition of Hall-of-Famer Jackie Robinson. In 1988, Jerry was looking for an original, wool uniform at a warehouse that was an outlet for baseball flannel dating from the 40s – this was the initial spark for Ebbets Field Flannels. Due to the fact Jerry couldn’t stand the “polyester era” look and feel, he tracked down some old wool baseball flannels that sparked interests by other old school baseball fanatics. In 1990, Lisa Cooper joined Ebbets Field Flannels to keep things organized and running – she even managed to get a full page article about Ebbets Field Flannels in the Sports Illustrated magazine. Soon after, celebs like Spike Lee and David Letterman were among the growing customer base. Over 30 years later, nothing has changed, and Ebbets Field Flannels is still manufacturing vintage jerseys, jackets and caps in America the old fashioned way, using original materials and manufacturing techniques.
