Founded 2001 in Reykjavik, Iceland by former shop owner/designer/snowboard professional Heida Birgisdottir, Nikita is known for breaking down the walls and adding little details to their clothes, sporty girls always looked for. Back in the days, miss Heida Birgisdottir wasn’t really satisfied with the stuff she was offering in her store, she couldn’t deal with the usual colorways, the loud appliqués and branding, plus a couple of needed features was missing. Shortly afterwards Heida decided to design her own line because she exactly knew about the lack of comfortable, feminine snowboarding styles and some bright, tasteful colors. What started with a couple of functional yet stylish fleece tops soon became a full clothing line that consists of trousers, skirts, dresses, jackets, accessories, and additional tops of course. With Nikita Heida Birgisdottir’s dream has become real: The birth of a clothing line, young women equally feel comfortable with while they’re shredding their boards, simply kickin’ it or or takin’ their favorite guy out.
