Ray-Ban Accessories

Established in 1937 by Bausch & Lomb, Ray-Ban hit the bull’s eye with its first product, the legendary Aviator sunglasses. This highly influental design was developed after a client complained that the sunlight damaged his eyes – he asked for eye protection and a stylish frame at the same time. This request resulted in the legendary Aviotor shades by Ray-Ban, a design that soon became popular and the civilian population’s number one object of desire. In 1952, Ray-Ban introduced the second stroke of genius, the all-time classic Wayfarer sunglasses that overthrow the dominance of then popular wire frames. The Ray-Ban Wayfarer used to be the most stylish shades of the 1950s and 1960s, made a huge comeback in the 1980s and is still one of the most-wanted fashion accessoires, thanks to it-girls and rockstars sportin’ it on a regular basis, and groundbreaking movies such as Reservoir Dogs.
