With the Painter Shorts, Stan Ray reintroduces a hickory stripe version of classic carpenter's shorts that used to be an in-demand design on the streets since the 90s. Made from sturdy hickory stripe fabric, the Stan Ray Painter Shorts are equipped with features like a tonal front center button, a zip fly, reinforcing waistband lining, two large front pockets, patch pockets at the rear, tool pockets at both legs' outseams, a hammer loop at left leg, bar-tack stitching at vital stress points as well as a Stan Ray woven square label on right back pocket. Relaxed fit with regular waistline; 100% cotton hickory denim with yarn dyed stripe details and peace palms embroidered graphics all over.

After quitting his job in 1972, Earl Beard and his wife Billie Jean used his three month’s severance pay to rent building and a handful of sewing machines to established Earl’s Apparel under the principles of hard work and high quality, durable garments. Later the company changed its name to Stan Ray, inspired by the name of the Beard couple’s youngest son, Stanley. Stan Ray first specialized into production of military grade cotton sateen garments, painter overalls and natural drill pants – hardwearing garments for a no-fuss lifestyle. Stan Ray product are known for three attributes: durable, all-purpose, and honest. While lots of major US manufacturers have outsourced production overseas, the Stan Ray brand remains true to its roots, producing all garments in the family owned and run factory in Crockett, Texas USA.
