The Salomon XT-Slate For and wander is the result of a collaboration between and wander and Salomon. The and wander x Salomon XT-Slate is equipped with embossed waffle fabric upper with embossed details plus thermoplastic overlays with lines that evoke the image of a rocky trail landscape. The quicklace system of the and wander x Salomon XT-Slate makes it easy to put on and take off as well as adjust the fit. For the sole, Salomon used its proprietary Contagrip technology which offers lots of grip and durability to make these fine sneakers suitable for various terrains and movements. Contagrip soles are made from a mix of different compounds with different densities. This means that different zones of the outsole are softer or harder, depending where they're placed. Areas that are prone to wearing out faster have harder-wearing high density compounds e.g. the edge of the outsole.
