The Vertex Alpine GTX by Arc'teryx is a completely redesigned version of the classic mountaineering shoe. This Arc'teryx design balances the fit and functionality of trail running shoes with the stability needed for long days on technical terrain. The Arc'teryx Vertex Alpine GTX is comfortably lightweight, waterproof and combines support and protection with a secure ride. The Gore-Tex membrane keeps out rain and snow, while the Vibram XS Flash 2 outsole of the Arc'teryx Vertex Alpine GTX offers high frictional values plus edge stability, and it was designed for performance on the trail as well as grip on wet and dry surfaces. A TPU shank and toe cap provide additional protection, while the knitted collar keeps dirt and stones out.
