he Pendleton Jacquard Blanket is another heritage design dedicated to the Menominee. The Menominee of Northern Wisconsin tell of a great mountain that floats in the western sky. Here dwell the mighty Thunderbirds, messengers and controllers of rain and hailstorms that can save crops, or ruin them. The Thunderbirds are also great protectors, preventing the Misikinubik, or giant horned snakes, from overrunning the earth. This Pendleton Jacquard Blanket is uncombed for sharper pattern definition and finished with whipstitch binding. By the way, the fabric has been woven in Pendleton's American mills. Measures: approx. 170 x 228.5 cm. 82% virgin wool, 18% organic cotton. Made in USA.
