Originally established in 1854 under the name Waterbury Clock in the city that goes by the same name, Timex made an impact in 1880 because they designed a pocket watch that was affordable. In the early 1930s, Timex was the first watch company that joined forces with Walt Disney and created the Mickey Mouse watch. In 1950, it was time to introduce the first Timex watch which became so successful (thanks to the company's groundbreaking marketing strategies) that the manufacturer changed its name into Timex Group in 1969. Today, Timex watches are bold retro statements that represent a nice taste as well as an affinity for clean designs and tradition.
With the T80, Times pays homage to the 1980s. Back then, hotties used to wear blow-dry hairstyles while the most stylish guys sported digital watches at ther wrists. Since nowadays opinion leaders celebrate this awesome decade, Times reintroduces a special edition of this authentic retro piece of wristwatch history, dedicate to the 40th anniversary of iconic 80s video game Pac-Man™, so in true 80s style, this watch plays the signature Pac-Ma™ melody.
