Jeepney Apparel

You know, Jeepneys (originally made from US miltary jeeps left over from WWII) are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines and have become a symbol of Philippine culture. Flamboyant decoration and crowded seating is a must. In 2003 a Jeepney connoisseur and proud Filipino Karlo Reyes owned a graphic design firm and designed some fast-selling tees, just to go on producing more tees and it basically snowballed after that. In ’06 he dropped the design firm and started doing Jeepney Clothing full time, just to continue releasing cartoonish pop art graphics blended with graff styles and the use of bright colors make their clothing much like the popular Philippine jeepneys.
