Puma Accessories

Puma is the other global player out of Herzogenaurach, Germany. The company is responsible for high-end sports footwear, lifestyle kicks, and other kind of sportswear. Back in 1920, Puma founder Rudolf Dassler and his brother Adolf started developing sports shoes, but in 1948 the brothers parted company, and Rudolf founded Puma. At first, Puma established a reputation by creating replaceable studs for football shoes with the result any player could adjust his shoes to the field condition. Back in 1958, Puma created the world-famous Formstripe, the significant branding appliqué place at the side panels of Puma shoes until this day. Another milestone year was 1968 when Puma produced the first sports footwear with Velcro closure. The very same year, one of the most legendary kicks were introduced: The legendary Puma Suede, a b-boy/b-girl favorite especially when fat laces are added. A few years later in the early 1970s, basketball legend Walt Frazier helped Puma to develop a wider, more comfortable version of the suede basketball low-tops named after the man itself, Clyde. If it wasn’t for these great kicks, the New York Knicks maybe would have never gained their second NBA Championships in 1973. Who knows…
